General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) has been doing some thinking at boarding school. GH viewers know Spencer was devastated and furious when he realized Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) had stayed away by choice. Nikolas could’ve come forward at any time to let his son know he was alive, but he allowed Spencer to suffer for years instead.
Spencer understandably felt like the Cassadine fortune and revenge were more important to Nikolas than his own child. Nik was left feeling pretty low after Spencer’s rejection. As far as Spencer was concerned, Nikolas was still dead to him.
That’s why Nik will be pretty excited when he gets a new letter from Spencer – one that suggests there’s hope to mend their broken bond. General Hospital spoilers say Spencer will admit he’s mulled it over and decided he’s willing to let Nik back in his life.
However, there’s a catch! Spencer will only be willing to open his heart to his father again if Nikolas makes a major and costly change.
General Hospital spoilers say Spencer will demand that Nik divorce Ava Jerome (Maura West). Perhaps Spencer will feel like if Nikolas does what he asks, it’ll prove Nik values his son above money and all else. Spencer may push Nik into this so he can know for sure that Nik finally has his priorities in order.
Once Ava gets updates on Spencer’s letter, she’ll see an opportunity. Ava knows that Nikolas feels guilty and desperately wants to reconnect with his son. GH spoilers say Ava will be willing to grant Nik this divorce, but she’ll have a condition of her own.
Ava will contend that if Nikolas gives her everything – the entire Cassadine fortune – she’ll happily end their marriage.
Of course, we have to wonder if Ava’s doing this because she knows Nikolas won’t go for the idea. There are some hints about Ava’s feelings for Nikolas growing stronger and more genuine. This could be Ava’s way of staying in the marriage without coming right out and saying she wants to.
At the same time, Ava probably wouldn’t hate it if Nikolas actually accepted her terms. The Cassadine fortune is massive – and there are plenty of fish in the sea! Regardless, Ava will make her demands and listen to what Nikolas has to say.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Nik will be tempted to give Ava what she wants. This is Nkolas’ chance to win back Spencer’s love and support. Nik will be frustrated since both Spencer and Ava are giving ultimatums he doesn’t like very much.
However, Nik’s greed and pride will ultimately win out. He’ll refuse to stand by and let Ava walk away with everything. Nikolas will vow to keep his fortune and get his son’s approval again, too!
