General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that new episodes are starting up again on Monday, August 3. The show’s released some new teasers for their first week back, including an interesting one for the episode airing Thursday, August 6. That’s when Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) will have a meeting – presumably a secret one.
Something’s always felt a bit off about this whole Brando situation. Brando showed up at the warehouse just in time to save Carly during Cyrus’ coordinated attack. It always felt like there was more to the story, especially since GH has revealed so little about Brando’s past.
There’s also the matter of Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) trust issues when it comes to Brando. After Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) grilled Brando and determined that he seemed like a good guy, Jason wasn’t so sure.
GH views know Jason is pretty much always right. If Jason’s “Stone Cold” spidey senses are tingling, you know trouble’s brewing!
General Hospital spoilers specify this is a meeting – NOT an encounter or some instance where Brando simply crosses paths with Cyrus. Instead, it seems it’s a situation where Cyrus summons Brando. It’s possible that Cyrus is simply using a new strategy and Brando goes to see what it’s all about.
However, the better story would be that Brando’s been secretly connected to Cyrus all along. Some General Hospital fans have even speculated that Brando might be Cyrus’ son, which would certainly be a great twist. It’d give Brando a reason to have some loyalty to Cyrus and betray Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Regardless, Brando must’ve had a reason for wanting to stick around Port Charles. Sonny assured Brando he was free to go, but Brando changed his tune and decided to stay in PC.
Something tells us that decision was about more than running a garage and establishing a new life. Brando could easily be working for Cyrus behind Sonny’s back.
