General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Friday, August 14, teases Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will discuss the guest list for their upcoming nuptials. Finn will seem uneasy when Anna brings up Finn’s father, Gregory Chase (James Read).
Anna will feel like Finn should give his dad a wedding invite, but Finn won’t be interested in revisiting the past.
However, Anna might argue that Finn might regret it someday if he doesn’t reach out and make this happen. Since Anna’s come so far in her relationship with Peter August (Wes Ramsey), she’ll think true reconciliation is possible for Finn and Gregory.
Finn won’t be so sure and apparently won’t even want to try. Nevertheless, Anna will keep at it and hope she makes some progress with Finn next week.
At Wyndemere, Ava Cassadine (Maura West) will look forward to an epic, memorable night. She’ll waltz in with Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) on her arm and await her guests.
This probably won’t be a packed house since Ava isn’t very popular, but there’ll definitely be a few people who show up for this swanky event.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will be one of partygoers, so it’ll be interesting to see who she interacts with. No one would be surprised if Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) forced Julian Jerome (William deVy) to take her to this shindig.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) previously showed no interest in attending, but he could always change his mind and cause problems.
Regardless, Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) will fulfill her promise to be there for Nikolas, so he’ll offer his gratitude. Lulu will wind up getting a bit huffy with someone at this gathering, so that could be Nikolas, Ava or even Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).
When somebody doesn’t feel like this is the right time to talk, Lulu will wonder what would make it the right time.
It’s possible Lulu will want to revisit the topic of Maxie’s pregnancy since the mom-to-be is leaving Peter in the dark. Peter should remain out of the loop on Maxie’s bun in the oven on Friday, but there’ll be enough drama going on anyway.
Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) will raise red flags for Maxie, who’ll be convinced that Lucy’s got a secret.
Maxie probably hasn’t heard about Lucy becoming the deciding vote for Valentin at the emergency ELQ meeting. Thanks to Lucy, ELQ isn’t bailing out the hospital and Valentin is now the company’s CEO.
Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) will sense that Lucy’s been a troublemaker, so it looks like Lucy’s actions are about to become public knowledge.
Unfortunately, Lucy’s trapped as Valentin’s little helper for the foreseeable future. That’s undoubtedly what Valentin had in mind when he decided to throw financial support behind Deception.
At GH, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will fume over what she views as a celebration of Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) sinister history. Liz just can’t get on board with a party that emphasizes that.
Elizabeth will vent to Terry Randolph (Cassandra James), who might think Liz is being a bit hard on Franco. Terry will certainly be a good friend to Liz, but sometimes that means helping someone see other perspectives.
It’s not like Franco’s going on another murder spree. This is a portrait unveiling – not a crime scene!
It’s possible Liz will hastily get dressed and attend after all, but we’ll just have to see how it goes. Alas, this portrait unveiling is bound to go wrong somehow. Will Nikolas swap the portrait out for some horrible one or do something else to sabotage Ava’s big night?
There’ll surely be some way for Nikolas to hurt Ava as he continues to prey on her guilt.
Franco will give Ava comfort after things don’t turn out how she wants. Some close moments are coming up for Ava and Franco, but this story will shift in the week ahead. Franco and Elizabeth will soon be onto Nikolas and Ava, so their twisted mind games will be exposed!
In the meantime, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will catch Terry’s interest. Terry will get updates on Cyrus underwriting General Hospital and show her inquisitive side. Although Terry should realize Cyrus is bad news, she’ll want to know more.
Since Cyrus seems to have so many connections in Port Charles, maybe Terry’s linked to him in some way. Terry might even know a little something about Cyrus’ loved one on Wilson Avenue! Although Terry doesn’t appear to be shady, she might have details that could help thwart Cyrus’ threat.
