General Hospital Spoilers Update: Tuesday, December 22 – Finn’s Betrayal Bomb - Carly Panics Over Sonny – Obrecht’s Tricky Plan

General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Tuesday, December 22, teases that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will freak over Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) news about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Carly was visibly concerned when Jason showed back up at the house alone, so Jason will have to fill Carly in on everything that went down in New Jersey.

Of course, that includes the horrifying part of the story where Sonny fell off a crumbling bridge! Julian Jerome’s (William deVry) body was recovered, but there’s still no sign of Sonny.

It won’t be long until Carly insists on going back to the site where Sonny was last seen. Jason will want Carly to remain calm and just take this a step at a time with him, but he’ll undoubtedly be hiding some panic as well.

Next, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will get ready to make a major admission. He’ll confess that he’s never told anybody this before as Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) awaits a bombshell.

Finn plans to tell Anna the real reason he didn’t attend Gregory Chase’s (Gregory Harrison) wedding, so let’s hope he doesn’t chicken out! It’s clear that Finn really needs to get this buried secret off his chest.

Finn landed in bed with Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) the night before she was set to marry Gregory. It’s something that’s haunted Finn for years, so hopefully he’ll tell Anna the truth and get some advice.

As for Jackie, it appears she’ll talk to Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) over the phone and get updates on all the Port Charles drama that’s been going down. Jackie has missed some huge events and extreme danger, so there’ll be plenty for Robert to talk about.

Jackie will be back in PC before you know it, so that’ll bring more opportunities for issues in Finn’s family. In the meantime, let’s talk about the Quartermaine clan’s issues instead.

Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) made a real mess when she staged that accident and made Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) look like a drunk driver.

Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) won’t have all the facts after Tracy tells him about Alexis’ arrest, but he’ll undoubtedly want to help. Nevertheless, Tracy will stand against Ned on that.

Tracy may even bring up Ned’s betrayal and insist he needs to worry a little less about Alexis and little more about keeping Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) in the dark!

Next, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will visit the PCPD for Alexis’ sake. Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will explain the scene he was called to and promise to back the ladies up on how they want to handle things.

Sam and Diane may have mixed feelings about what they should do with Alexis. They might think a night in jail would do Alexis good and keep her off the highway. However, Christmas is just around the corner, so the thought of Alexis being locked up during the holidays is awfully sad.

Diane and Sam may decide that Alexis needs supervision or else she could make some other drunken, wild move. Of course, GH fans know all Alexis is guilty of his having a few drinks. Tracy’s the one who put Alexis behind the wheel and tried to make her look like she committed a crime.

Even so, Alexis is the one paying the price right now. She’ll be taken aback when either Sam or Diane offers up a place to stay. That’ll probably be Sam since she’s got plenty of extra space with Jason around. Perhaps Sam will hope she can straighten Alexis out during this extra time together, too.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will concentrate on her new plan. Liesl’s scheme will be a risky one, but she’ll do whatever it takes to bring Peter August (Wes Ramsey) down.

As part of that scheme, Liesl will have to use Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) as a pawn in her dangerous game.

Franco will be surprised when Liesl tries to act like something is a coincidence. Maybe Obrecht will suggest they can’t prove much of anything without extensive testing and more memory retrieval.

Liesl’s goal here may be talking Franco into digging deeper. If Liesl can access all of Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) memories, she might score the details she needs to finally sink Peter.

You can bet Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) will gripe about Obrecht’s tactics, but she may hold Dr. Warren Kirk’s (Jamison Jones) fate over his head. Regardless, General Hospital spoilers say Liesl will stop at nothing to get what she wants!
