General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, August 5, teases that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will get some guidance from Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy). Alexis had already been a bit of a mess, but things really went downhill for her after she got disbarred.
However, Diane won’t give on getting Alexis’ mojo back. They just need to figure out exactly how to pull that off!
Until then, Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) will shut down talk about his relationship with Alexis, which is nonexistent right now. Neil and Alexis were thrown for a loop after their careers were derailed, but Sam McCall (Lindsay Hartley) seems to think these two have a real shot.
It might be Sam who pokes her nose where it doesn’t belong, but her heart should be in the right place.
Next, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will surprise Sam with a proposition. Since Valentin mentioned looking into Sam’s parole officer, it appears he’ll offer Sam a way out.
There has to be some strategy that’d allow Sam and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to be together. It’s just about having the right connections and power – two things Valentin indeed has.
Valentin wants to round up all the ELQ shares he can, so he’ll hope Sam’s willing to reach an agreement. Sam controls her kids’ shares, so she’s in the prime position to help Valentin. Of course, Sam would be wise to accept Valentin’s offer since she may not like the alternative!
Valentin may warn Sam that it’d be in her best interest to cooperate. If Sam rejects Valentin’s proposal, he might make Sam even more miserable. As bad as this parole situation is, Valentin could probably make it worse if he tried hard enough.
However, Valentin won’t be the only one going after what he wants on Wednesday. Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) will also track Valentin down and deliver some orders.
Valentin may wonder what makes Nelle think he’d take orders from her, but she’ll give him an excellent reason. If Valentin doesn’t provide what Nelle needs, she’ll blow up his plans and leave him back where he started.
Since Nelle’s still trying to get custody of Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), what she needs may be dirt on the judge! At this point, that may be the only tactic left that can save Nelle’s chances. General Hospital spoilers say Nelle may have to make a bold move to accomplish her goal.
Nelle’s case ended on a horrible note, but she could turn things around with the threat of a scandal. Perhaps Nelle will push Valentin to give her some proof against the judge – something that could sink his career if it got out.
Nelle needs something she can use to motivate the judge into seeing things from her perspective.
The judge may not be willing to give Nelle full custody – and that outcome wouldn’t be realistic under the circumstances anyway. Nelle would be better off sharing custody with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and making it seem like the judge simply thought this was fair.
In the meantime, Nelle will bop over to the Quartermaine mansion and demand a visit with Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson). Michael and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) will delight in some “Millow” family bonding before Nelle barges in and causes a fuss.
Nelle may be turned away from her son, but she might warn she won’t tolerate this for long! It looks like Nelle’s last-minute strategy just might pay off, so keep watching.
As for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), his heart will remain heavy as he gets updates from a doctor. The plan will be for an anesthesiologist to put Mike under, but Sonny may have second thoughts.
Although Sonny decided to get a feeding tube for Mike, it’s possible Sonny will eventually bail on the idea. Sonny might determine that Mike wouldn’t want to be kept alive this way. Whatever the case, Sonny will face another inner battle in Wednesday’s GH episode.
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will seem distraught as she seeks Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) assistance, so this should remain a stressful situation all around! As other GH news becomes available, we’ll provide details.
