General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, October 14 Recap - BLQ Fired From Deception - Portia Blasts Jordan - Cyrus Reels Brando In

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 14, reveal that Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) met with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) in some parking garage.

Jordan handed over a case file on a flash drive that Cyrus wanted, and then Cyrus asked Jordan to kill the investigation into Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) possible tampering with Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) motorbike. Jordan reluctantly agreed.

At the Metro Court, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane) was horrified that Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) wanted her to sing live for Mrs. Madigan (Devika Parikh).

Brook Lynn tried to make excuses, but Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) stepped forward and told Brook Lynn that she was a fighter and could do it.

Meanwhile, Lucy cornered Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) on the terrace and told her that something was definitely “off” with her. Sasha said that she just had a bad day, and Lucy kept squawking at her until Sasha exploded and blurted out, “I messed up – Message received!”

Elsewhere, Brook Lynn tracked down Amy Driscoll (Risa Dorken) and said that this would work, and that they just needed to sync their microphones.

At the hospital, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) briefly discussed Trina Robinson’s (Sydney Mikayla) time at the homecoming dance, while elsewhere Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) parted ways so that Peter could head over to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) place.

In Hamilton Finn’s (Michael Easton) office, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) dropped by to see if Finn would be interested in having a family dinner with Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) there.

Finn deflected the conversation, and talk turned to Anna’s struggle with Alex Devane (Finola Hughes). Chase then got a call from Valentin who was over at the Metro Court and was worried about Sasha.

Chase left Finn’s office and headed for the elevators, where he bumped into Jordan, who informed him that he’d no longer be working on Jason’s motorbike investigation.

Chase thought that was odd, but Jordan insisted that there were more pressing investigations for Chase right now. Curtis and Portia walked up and overheard Cyrus’ name come up.

Portia gathered that Jordan was shutting down an investigation that could put Cyrus away, and she lashed out at Jordan, basically calling Jordan a coward. Jordan fought back, and she said something about not being a ghost who can take out Cyrus.

Curtis wondered what that meant, and he calmed the ladies down. Portia then apologized for her words to Jordan.

Jordan took off, upset, and Curtis blasted Portia for accusing Jordan of covering for Cyrus. Portia said that Jordan’s actions in regard to Cyrus were incredibly suspicious.

Meanwhile, Cyrus turned up in Finn’s office wanting a “collaborative relationship.” Finn wasn’t in the mood, and he promptly left to see patients, leaving Cyrus looking amused.

Back at the Metro Court, Sasha got a text from Chase asking if she was ok, while Brook Lynn took to the microphone. Brook Lynn pretended to sing, while Amy sang from around the corner into a separate microphone that was linked to Brook Lynn’s.

Things were working fine until Chase showed up and asked Amy what she was doing, which everyone could hear through the microphone.

Amy dropped her microphone, and everyone could hear her talking with Chase. Brook Lynn was busted, and Mrs. Madigan said that the voice of Deception was a fraud.

Mrs. Madigan promptly walked out, saying she’d never do business with Deception, and Lucy exploded at Brook Lynn, promptly firing her. Meanwhile, Sasha stood out on the terrace crying and looking at a packet of drugs.

Later, Chase, Brook Lynn, and Amy regrouped at the bar, and Brook Lynn took full responsibility for what had happened. Brook Lynn said that everything in her life had gone straight to hell ever since she made a deal with Valentin.

At Anna’s house, Peter arrived and immediately blurted out that he and Maxie were getting married. Anna saw that Peter was all happy about the engagement, and as they talked about the engagement, Peter revealed that the genetic testing showed he had the marker for rheumatoid arthritis.

Peter assumed that he got it from Anna, but Anna said that she didn’t have the marker herself. Peter then assumed that the marker must have come from César Faison (Anders Hove).

At the Floating Rib, Jackie was talking with Mac Scorpio (John J. York), when Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) arrived, followed shortly by Maxie.

Maxie announced her engagement to Peter, and Mac was thrilled. Robert was less than thrilled, while Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) told Maxie congratulations.

Over at the bar, Jackie and Robert talked, and Jackie wondered what Robert had against Maxie’s fiancé. Robert said that Peter August was Maxie’s fiancé, and Jackie revealed that she may be working with Peter at the Invader.

Robert said that Jackie shouldn’t work with Peter and that he’s dangerous. Jackie encouraged Robert to not risk losing his family.

Peter arrived on the scene, and soon Robert begrudgingly came along and attempted to congratulate Maxie and Peter on their engagement.

Mac pulled Robert away and quizzed him about what his problem was with Peter, arguing that it was Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) who committed terrible crimes, and not Peter. Robert vowed to do something “really bad” to Peter if anything happens to Maxie and Peter’s implicated.

Brando received a call from Cyrus, who informed Brando that the PCPD had ended its investigation into him for Jason’s motorcycle accident. Brando was silent, and Cyrus wondered if Brando was pleased. “What do you expect from me in return?” Brando asked.

Finally, back at Anna’s place, Finn returned to find Anna excited about something. Anna said that she hadn’t told Peter about the possibility of Alex being his mother, but that she thought she found a way to prove if she’s Peter’s mother or not.
