General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, September 9 – Sam Spins Out – Carly Flirts – Cyrus’ Deadly Neil Motives – Ava’s Surprise

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Wednesday, September 9, tease that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will track Ava Cassadine (Maura West) down for a conversation about Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla). There was tension early on since Portia felt like Ava was overstepping with her daughter, but the doc will change her tune soon enough.

Wednesday’s GH preview video shows Ava saying, “Are you asking me to turn her down?” It sounds like Trina may want a promotion at the gallery or to take part in some art show that’s coming up.

Whatever the case, Portia may insist she was a bit overbearing before. It’s obvious that Ava cares about Trina, so Portia will surprise Ava by extending an olive branch.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will reel over the discovery Julian Jerome (William deVry) just made. There was a needle on the floor, so Alexis will start to accept that Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) was an addict.

Alexis thought she was falling for a better man, but she’ll suspect he was just a better liar!

Of course, things aren’t quite as they seem here. That needle was likely planted there by Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) minion. Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) is certainly convinced of Cyrus’ guilt.

She just showed up at Cyrus’ place demanding answers about why he murdered Neil, but Cyrus may feign innocence at first.

However, Cyrus’ slight smile over the accusation seemed to indicate both guilt and satisfaction. When pressed, Cyrus may admit that he does tend to take care of people who are in his way. Neil’s involvement in the clinic Laura Collins (Genie Francis) started to combat drug usage may have been an issue for Cyrus.

Whatever the case, Jordan will shrug and guess her services are no longer needed. Clearly, Cyrus has henchmen to run around town carrying out murder attempts.

Jordan may insist Cyrus can take it from her, but he won’t let her off the hook. Cyrus still needs Jordan’s help at the PCPD – and besides, he’s having far too much fun torturing her to leave her alone.

Meanwhile, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will catch up with Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight). Valentin should give Martin updates on Julian’s search for him. Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) disappearance will also come up, so Valentin will ask if Martin thinks it’s “for real.”

As for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), he may feel like Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) being a little hard on herself. Sam took the news of Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) and Monica Quartermaine’s (Leslie Charleson) firing awfully hard. Since Sam feels guilty, she urged Jason to go ahead and admit he thinks it’s her fault.

Jason may argue that’s not what he thinks at all. Just because Jason didn’t agree with Sam and Valentin’s deal doesn’t mean he blames her now. Sam couldn’t predict the future – and Cyrus is the one who gave Monica and Bobbie the boot.

Nevertheless, Sam will feel terrible since she inadvertently played a role in Cyrus taking charge at GH. Wednesday’s General Hospital preview video shows Sam saying, “Because of my actions, they’re paying for it.” Sam will really wrestle with this, but let’s hope Jason can settle her down.

Back with Valentin, he’ll get an earful from recently fired Bobbie. It sounds like Bobbie will place the blame on Valentin since he could’ve just let ELQ bail out the hospital.

Instead, Valentin flexed his new power and allowed Cyrus to become GH’s “savior” instead. That certainly deserves a lecture from Bobbie, who got sacked soon after Cyrus took over as the chairman of the board.

Over with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), she’ll confess something big to Cameron Webber (William Lipton). Joss will bring Cam up to speed on her recent chat with Trina – the one where Trina came clean about kissing Cameron. Once Josslyn makes this admission, it’ll add to the awkwardness of the teen scene.

Finally, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Brick (Stephen A. Smith) will get together for a drink at the Metro Court bar. That’ll bring some of Brick’s usual, harmless flirting. “You telling me to stop?” Brick asks Carly in Wednesday’s preview clip. “Not a chance,” Carly replies with a smile.

Whether that’s about Brick’s flirtatious comments or something else, this should serve as a nice distraction for Carly.

She’s got a lot on her mind due to Nelle’s cliff fall, the cover-up with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) looming death and the threat Cyrus still poses to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). A drink with flirty Brick will do Carly some good!
