General Hospital (GH) spoilers preview teases that viewers are in for a big week, April 27 to May 1, as the battle for Port Charles is on! As GH viewers know, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is a free man now, roaming the streets of Port Charles and conducting his business at will. And that’s pretty unnerving for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). The new GH promo for the week of April 27th is all about the brewing battle for Port Charles between Cyrus and Sonny, and we’ve got the scoop right here.
First off, it looks like both Cyrus and Sonny will lay out their plans to take each other out. Sonny is shown first in the promo, telling Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) that he’s going to take Cyrus down like everyone before him. Sonny is also shown hitting the countertop in the Corinthos kitchen in frustration, as he tries to formulate a plan with Jason.
Speaking of plans with Jason, wasn’t Jason all set to take Cyrus out a few episodes ago? What happened? Now it seems like Sonny and Jason are back to square one after already deciding that they were going to eliminate Cyrus.
At any rate, in the new GH preview promo, Sonny tells Jason: “When he stops looking for me out of the corner of his eye, I’m going to take him out.”
So, now it seems that Sonny and Jason are looking for the right opportunity to take out Cyrus. And while Sonny hems and haws, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will take another opportunity to quiz Sonny about his plans to deal with the new drug trafficker in Port Charles. “What’s going down, Sonny, really?” Laura ask, as they sit in Sonny’s office together.
But Sonny surely won’t outline his plans to Laura…and one big reason for that is that it seems that Sonny doesn’t have a formulated plan. It seems like every time he and Jason are in the midst of a conversation about what to do about Cyrus, they get interrupted by something or someone.
Well, it doesn’t seem like Cyrus is sitting around and contemplating moves in the way that Sonny is. Cyrus is shown in the promo telling someone very clearly that “We start by getting rid of Jason Morgan.”
That doesn’t sound good, especially since the weekly preview shows Jason trapped in a basement garage and looking like he’s facing big danger. If Sonny can’t take out Cyrus first, then it sounds like Jason could be the next casualty of this escalating war.
It sounds like either Jason is going to take out Cyrus, or Cyrus’ goons will take out Jason in short order. Sonny needs to get off the fence and make a decision NOW about how he’s going to deal with Cyrus, or else we could see Jason go down!
