General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Wrong With Chase – Why Won’t He Tell Willow The Truth & Declare His Love For Her?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) tends to have a good head on his shoulders. He’s a no-nonsense type detective and always seems to be straightforward and up-front with his feelings and desires.

It’s part of the reason that he and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) got along so well back when they were dating and living together. Thing were really good between Chase and Willow for a long time.

But then, things went haywire. Chase and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) decided to pretend to have an affair in order to push Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow to marry.

It was all designed to protect Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos (Theo and Erik Olson) from Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier), and the plan worked like a charm. Willow and Michael married, and Chase and Sasha felt justified in what they set into motion.

That’s all well and good, but then TPTB took a curious turn when Nelle ended up dead, but Chase and Sasha decided not to come forward and admit that their affair never happened and was faked.

Now, as for Sasha, she was becoming addicted to drugs during this time, so her thinking was clouded, and it makes some degree of sense that she would think that it’s all too late for her and Michael.

But what about Chase? It seemed like it would be within his character to go immediately running to Willow and tell her that the affair was all a ruse and that they can be together.

At first, it seemed like this was the route that Chase was going to take, but then Sasha convinced him that they’d have to say silent forever…and Chase seemed to buy it.

That was odd enough, but then Chase had a talk with his mom Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney), during which he totally lied to her and told her that the reason he and Willow broke up was because he cheated on her.

Why would Chase extend the lie by telling his mom this false story that paints him in such a horrible light, as a cheater? It really made no sense, and it doesn’t bode well for Chase ever telling the truth to Willow or Michael about what really happened.

We suspect that things won’t actually get revealed about Chase and Sasha’s fake affair until something awful happens to Sasha.

It seems like Sasha is right in the middle of a full-blown addiction, as she was seen at the Deception meeting with shaking hands and barely able to speak or function. Sasha seems to be on the road to losing everything, overdosing, or both.

We’ll see what happens here, but we’d really like for Chase to wake up and give Willow the information that she needs in order to make an informed decision about what she’s going to do with the rest of her life.

The longer Chase waits to tell her the truth, the less likely Willow’s going to be to return to him after everything is said and done, it seems.

There just doesn’t seem to be a compelling reason for Chase to be keeping the truth from Willow at this point. Do you think that Chase will finally wake up and spill the truth to Willow?
