General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that many fans are growing tired of all these fake marriages. They may be legal, but that doesn’t mean they’re the real deal when it comes to emotions. Once GH resumes production, maybe they should steer things in a more romantic direction!
Of course, there’s certainly the potential for Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) to fall for each other, but GH still destroyed their real love stories with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattson) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).
Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Ava Cassadine (Maura West) may have some buried feelings for each other, but their marriage is currently a nightmare. There’s a ton of conflict and they’re scheming to divorce each other, so this isn’t healthy – at least at this point in the story.
Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) also blackmailed Julian Jerome (William deVry) into a wedding, so that’s marriage number three that isn’t built on true romance. What happened to the traditional first comes love then comes marriage route? After GH comes back with new episodes, that might be the perfect time to give viewers some legitimate nuptials.
Naturally, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) seem like the ideal couple to tie the knot. Before the shutdown, General Hospital spoilers pointed to Sam potentially figuring out a way to handle both threats to her relationship – meaning her parole situation and Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
That hasn’t happened yet, but it’s good to know GH writers are inching in that direction. There’s light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to Sam and Jason. Once their latest obstacles are gone, General Hospital will hopefully give them another beautiful wedding. “JaSam” fans deserve that after being so patient!
That’s especially true since there are some hints about Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Hamilton Finn’s (Michael Easton) upcoming wedding ending in disaster.
Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) probably have a disastrous one coming up, too. GH weddings are becoming a pretty unhappy event these days, but Jason and Sam could remarry in a state of pure bliss.
Since Sam and Jason are a popular couple for the ABC soap, it seems like a “JaSam” wedding would be an excellent way to pull people back into the show. We could see some big events and more romance once General Hospital starts airing fresh content again.
