General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the evil GH character, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) could get desperate if her latest gambit to take Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) away from Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) fails. As many viewers may remember, after the judge dismissed charges against Nelle, she walked free. In the courthouse hallway, Nelle confronted Michael and hit him with a lawsuit designed to obtain sole custody of their shared child.
GH fans will recall that after getting out of Pentonville Penitentiary, Nelle gave birth on the side of the road. This was after she and Michael had a horrible wreck and Nelle left Michael in the car.
With gas leaking and circumstances favorable, Nelle hoped for an explosion that would kill Michael and rid him from her life. Nelle seems to have zero problem with sinking as low as possible and has very little respect for human life.
Shortly after giving birth, Nelle saw a distraught Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) in his own vehicle. Parked on the side of the road, he was weeping from the loss of his own adopted son. It was then that Nelle hatched a diabolical plot to swap babies.
If Nelle couldn’t kill Michael, she could hurt him! Nelle convinced the weak Brad to go along with her plans and for months upon months they carried out their deception together.
By the time the truth came out, Nelle had already secured forged passports and birth certificates through a shady deal with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
With her counterfeit documents in hand, and after overhearing where Wiley was being cared for, she headed to the home of Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen).
Upon arrival, GH fans may remember that Nelle attacked Willow, beating her unconscious. She then almost succeeded in taking the toddler and disappearing into a new life elsewhere.
However, Michael stopped her just in time. Shortly afterward she was arrested. Everyone (including Nelle herself most likely) thought that she was headed back to prison. Viewers have learned to count on Nelle, however when it comes to her ability to manipulate others.
Now, free of jail and with all charges dropped, Nelle believes she has won. But what will happen if Michael fights fire with fire? What depths will Nelle sink to if Michael emerges from this latest custody confrontation victorious?
Nelle’s already proven that she has no problem breaking the law when it comes to Wiley. Might Nelle hatch a new plot to kidnap the son she believes is rightfully hers?
