General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) seems poised to lose everything. Once the truth about Peter’s terrible transgressions comes out, it’s hard to imagine Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) offering forgiveness – baby or no baby! Just because Maxie’s pregnant doesn’t mean she can accept all the sinister secrets Peter’s been keeping.
In fact, Maxie’s baby could make her even more determined to cut Peter out of her life. Maxie may do everything in her power to make sure Peter has nothing to do with his son or daughter. If General Hospital intends to keep Peter and let him rebuild his life, he may have to do that with someone else.
Could there be another lovely lady on canvas who’d be a great match for Peter? What about Ava Jerome (Maura West)? GH fans know Ava’s currently married to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), but it’s a loveless one at this point. Although Nikolas and Ava may have some complicated feelings under the surface, this marriage could easily end in divorce.
If Ava ends up single, she’ll certainly be ready for a hot hookup. Meanwhile, Peter might wiggle out of legal consequences but still face the pain of losing Maxie and his potential family. It’s easy to imagine Ava and Peter coming together one lonely, drunken night.
Ava fell hard for Ryan Chamberlain (John Lindstrom) when she thought he was Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom), so she was crushed when Ryan’s deception was exposed. General Hospital viewers will recall how Ava broke down over everything being a lie. Ava lost the one man who’d ever fully accepted her.
The fact that Ryan killed Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) was a far worse issue, but Ava battled a broken heart, too. Ryan was too dark and deadly for Ava to have a real relationship with. Ava would never be able to get past what Ryan did to Kiki, but what about another dark love interest – one who didn’t kill Ava’s daughter?
Ava’s certainly no saint! She’s done plenty of horrible things in the past, so it’s not like she could really judge Peter. Ava might also connect with Peter over his looming baby drama.
Since Ava’s faced custody drama with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) over Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola), she might understand Peter’s pain when Maxie tries to shut him out.
Ava might have a problem with Peter trying to kill Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), but at least Peter stopped that hit. If Ava wound up angry and turned against Franco for some reason, it wouldn’t matter anyway. There are ways around that small issue if GH wants to do a Peter and Ava pairing.
Peter could perhaps serve as a less sinister version of Ryan – a man who could love Ava for who she really is. Both Ava and Peter both have an inner battle going on.
They’re both capable of caring about others, so they have some good in them. Maybe Peter and Ava could embrace each other’s dark sides and help each other hang onto the good, too.
