Trick Daddy and Trina did a morning show on the radio together. This was a huge step in their careers and Trick wanted to celebrate it, but after the show, they started talking and Joy came up. Joy was left in tears with her last conversation with Trick. Trick first accused her of being like everyone and wanting to use him. He didn’t realize until much later how wrong he was. Joy never used him and if anything she took care of him. Trick had been her first priority. She placed him before herself and so Trick saw that. He apologized for not seeing it fast enough. Like when it really mattered back when they were together.
Trick told Trina everything. He still cared for Joy and he never set out to cause her pain. He also acknowledges how much he’s hurt her in the past, but he said he apologizes, he even added that he had tried to apologize before and was never given the opportunity. Joy was so upset with him at one point that she didn’t want to hear anything he said. He therefore never had the chance to make it right and that’s what he’s trying to do now. Trick wants to make it right. He was going to be putting together an event to celebrate him and Trina and he was inviting everyone. He wanted Joy to be there as well.
Joy and Trick have been communicating better since the Bahamas. She later stopped by the house with a few groceries and she tried to make him a shake. It was going to be a healthy shake. She was going to include fruits and salads and so Trick wanted no part of it. He didn’t want a healthy shake. He thought it was gross and so Joy enlisted someone to help. She brought in their good friend AJ Johnson. She was an actress and a fitness coach. Joy was hoping that she and AJ could convince Trick to take better care of himself. They tried to mention healthy snacks. They even told him that the way he was eating now wasn’t the best and Trick quickly shut them down.
Trick doesn’t want to change his eating patterns. He grew up with a love for soul food and he watched as family members have continued to eat whatever they want as they got older. Trick didn’t see why he had to be the one to change. He also tapped into bigger issues he still has with Joy and so AJ tried to help in that area as well. She got Trick to open up. He admitted to being in love with Joy and he said all the relationships she had after him didn’t count. He considered himself her last real relationship. AJ also got Joy talking. Joy wanted Trick to feel better and to be healthier because she wanted him around.
Only she never really revealed the why. Why was she so set on Trick being healthy and living longer? AJ tried to get Joy to admit her feelings. She tried to get Joy to say she still cares for Trick and Joy stopped just short of saying so. Joy instead mentioned his kids. She also brought up their many godchildren and so Joy wanted Trick around for them. She broke down in tears before she could confess the real reason. She never said she wanted him around for herself and yet it’s beginning to look that way. Joy has been heavily involved in his life. She wanted him to live longer and be healthier and she’s hiding the real reason why she wants that.
Meanwhile, Sukihana spent some quality time with her children. Her children live in Atlanta with her grandmother and they even go to school there. Sukihana doesn’t get to see them too often because of that. She still tries to be there for them and her children do miss her. They told her when they saw her how much they missed her. Sukihana had understood their feelings and she promised them that one day it was going to be different. She promised that one day they were going to live in a big house together. Her children had been excited at the idea of living with Mommy and in the meantime, they enjoyed the huge sundae they bought them.
Sukihana’s dear friend Hood Brat was facing a different struggle. Hood Brat had recently found out that her boyfriend is secretly married. Kenny it seems had withheld that from her and he always claimed that his ex was just his baby mama. It was how he referred to his ex. It was also how he talked about her with Hood Brat and so finding out differently had upset her. Hood Brat felt he betrayed her trust. She should have been told and she wasn’t going to forgive or forget what Kenny did. Kenny should have told her if there was no future for them. Hood Brat was thinking they could one day get married at one point and so learning he was already married had ruined such plans.
Hood Brat didn’t let her anger with Kenny stop her from going to Trina and Trick’s party. The launch party had been a huge event and everyone went. The party was going great until PreMadonna and Amara let their anger with each other get in the way. The two women were fighting over the way PreMadonna handled herself. She brought Emjay’s ex-girlfriend to a sit-down with Amara without any kind of forewarning and Amara didn’t like that. She thought that PreMadonna as her friend should have at least asked if she could bring Emjay’s ex-girlfriend to see her and so this was a big deal to Amara.
It wasn’t to PreMadonna. PreMadonna views what happens as just giving Amara the excuse she needed to break up with Emjay and so she felt Amara should be thanking her. She even told Shay this when Shay came asking around. Shay was Emjay’s sister. She sees her brother is hurting and she wants to help him any way she can. She asked PreMadonna what happened. She wanted to know what was said to make Amara take a break from Emjay and PreMadonna told her it wasn’t much. She said Emjay’s ex merely brought up the fact he doesn’t have a job to support himself. She also added that Amara took this information and ran with it.
The two women were talking behind each other’s backs as Joy finally gave Trick hope for their relationship. Joy suggested they try counseling and see where that goes. So, Trick had been happy. He was finally given a glimmer of hope and that’s when the ladies made a scene. Amara tried talking to Emjay alone. Just as she asks to speak with him that’s when PreMadonna comes around and tries to speak with him as well. The two women began arguing right then. PreMadonna threw her drink and so that set off Amara. They tried to fight each other. They began yelling things when the security team kept them apart and so PreMadonna mentioned her supposed receipts.
She apparently has proof that Amara has been sleeping with Jullian. She also said Amara never wanted Emjay and that’s when Emjay spoke up. He said Amara is his future wife. He told PreMadonna to calm down and later he left with Amara who was so angry with PreMadonna that she didn’t care who she left with.
Amara later decided that she was going to trust her instincts first, no matter what anyone else said.
Trina meanwhile finally got her album back up and so this was a turning point for her.
Joy and Trick also began working on their relationship and for now, there is hope.
