Meanwhile, this thing between Steve and Mishel blew up. Everyone at the dinner table found out what happened and they mostly saw both sides. They saw why Mishel was upset, but they also saw where Steve was coming from. Steve wasn’t being malicious in what he said. He wanted to work on the attraction and he found out after having worked on it that he couldn’t force it. It just wasn’t there. Steve definitely shouldn’t have told the rest of Australia. He realizes that now and so he told Mishel he was sorry. He thought she would accept his apology. She didn’t. She seems to have gone out of her way not to see his side and so she was just a ball of anger. Mishel was so angry that kept accusing Steve of lying to her.

Steve didn’t lie to her. He simply chose not to tell the truth. He withheld information and he regrets it. Steve was ready to move on from the night. He wanted to move on and Mishel refused to. Mishel and Steve later slept in separate apartments. It was for the best. The two of them couldn’t be in the same room without arguing. Steve had even left the dinner early because he was tired of arguing with Mishel and so its been a downward spiral since Steve’s big confession. Nothing good has happened to him since his confession. He ruined a good thing and he realizes it. Mishel had been falling for him when he told her the truth.

Mishel must have hated herself for having feelings for him when he isn’t in the slightest attracted to her. She probably should have seen it coming and she hadn’t. Another couple in danger was Connie and Jonethen. They tried to make their relationship work and Connie blindsided her husband by writing Leave at the last ceremony. She hadn’t talked over her decision with her husband and he wondered what he did was wrong. He later changed his behavior. Jonethen stopped being himself and only after did he do so that he saw Connie was happy. She was happy when he wasn’t.

Jonethen realized their relationship couldn’t keep working like this. He wanted to write Leave at the next ceremony and he discussed it with Connie. He wanted them to be on the same page. He thought she would agree with him after she wrote Leave last week and so she surprised him by being stubborn tonight. She’s suddenly saying now that they haven’t given their relationship everything. She told Jonethen that she was going to fight for him and he doesn’t get why she would do that. To him, the relationship is over. He feels that way and he thought so did she deep down. And so he doesn’t know why she’s fighting much less why she’s fighting now.

KC and Drew were another couples struggling. She brought up the toy thing and he accused her of being a super jealous person. They argued about it. They got into this negative space and there was no way out of it. He still doesn’t see why he a gift from another wife was the wrong thing to bring on his honeymoon. It was weird to KC. It was weird to the other women and so maybe this was just one of those things they needed feedback on from the experts. The experts were later unpacking all the baggage during the Ceremony. The Ceremony tonight was great for many of the couples. Josh and Cathy even though they would be one of them until Josh began talking.

Josh said that he and Cathy were back on track. They were comfortable again with each other and that should have been a good sign, but Josh said he was worried that by next week, they would just be friends. He didn’t want that to happen. He was afraid it might if they continued on the same path and so that threw Cathy. She walked into the ceremony quite confidant. Then Josh said what he said and her confidence fell. She felt like she was given an ultimatum. She has to feel love for him by next week or they were over and so there was really no way of coming back from that. Both Josh and Cathy chose to Stay. And that stay felt bittersweet after everything.

Then there was Aleks and Ivan. They were almost hostile whenever someone asks them if they had sex and so this seems like a hangup that needed to overcome. If they were that way with the experts, then what it must be like with each other and so this time it was a surprise when they both wrote Stay. All the couples are staying in the experiment. This includes Steve and Mishel because Mishel wrote Stay and that canceled out Steve’s Leave. KC and Drew were staying as well because they both wrote Stay in spite of everything. And in spite of having both Michael and Stacey laugh at them over this stupid toy.

Jonethen and Connie were staying too. He wrote Leave and she wrote Stay and so they’ll be staying in the experiment for one more week.

Truly, no one left tonight.

THE END!
