On tonight’s Married At First Sight Matchmaking Special as per the Lifetime synopsis, “Married At First Sight returns for a brand-new season, in New Orleans, the Big-Easy, but the expert job is anything but easy.  

This in-depth exploration of the Matchmaking process has many hopeful singles putting their hearts on the line in order to find love.  Ten lucky individuals will start out on the journey of a lifetime, as they learn they will each be marrying a stranger in just a few short weeks.

New Orleans is the smallest city that Married at First Sight has ever been to, no wonder singles have struggled here to date. And, the professionals have to make sure that the singles they choose have not previously met or dated each other. After completing in-depth questionnaires, psychological testing, background checks, and initial interviews – they invite the most promising 100 men and 100 women to do workshops with the professionals. This is the eleventh season. The first thing the professionals talk about with the candidates is sex.

Wood is 30, and “Mr. Life Of The Party.” Growing up, mom and dad split, dad went to jail and missed a big part of his life. He wants to be Married at First Sight because he doesn’t have someone to share his accomplishments with. He knows who he is as a person, he just needs a wife.

Karen is 30, and “Ms. Reservations.” She is a manager in a hospital. In her last relationship, they were together for five years and found out that he had a child with someone else when they were together. She is open to love. This is out of character for her, she is a risk-averse person.

Bennett is 28, and “The Romantic Thespian.” His mother is a theatre artist, so he grew up in plays. He grew up in a household that fostered creative expression. He wants to find love with some who gets him.

Miles is 26, and “Mr. Young And Ready.” He thinks he is pretty smart, he has two degrees now. But he also likes to work with kids. His parents split up when he was nine years old and they never really were friends. Now, he wants to marry his best friend.

Olivia is 30, and “Ms. Sugar And Spice.” She is a nurse practitioner in the ICU. She is in a trivia group, and she loves her cats. She wants to get married because being the third wheel sucks and she wants a nice guy.

Christina is 30, “The Princess Bride.” She is a flight attendant and grew up in love with her mom. She tends to pick guys who are really just out for a good time. She wants someone who is emotionally intelligent. If her new husband came home with a bouquet of flowers with her, she would be thrilled. She is ready to find he, life partner.

Amani is 30, “Ms. Calm, Cool & Collected.” She is a program coordinator and very creative, loves her job. She has a natural nurturing spirit. She always took care of her younger siblings. She loves dancing.

Once they narrow down the pool of lucky people who the professionals are considering for Married At First Sight, they will have to face a home visit. It is very important to explore their homes and get to know the hopefuls.

Brett is 35, “The Serial Dater.” He works in IT for the local government. He loves to cook and can do anything with his hands. He is very active and loves his cat. He has been engaged before, but unfortunately, she cheated on him.

The professionals sit down together to discuss the possible candidates for season eleven. The first couple is chosen by Viviana, Christina, and Henry, everyone agrees. Dr. Pepper chooses the second couple, Emelia and Bennett. Pastor Cal has reservations about Bennett’s life choices, he has a number of directions, he is all over the place. After they all speak, Pastor Cal can see where Dr. Pepper is coming from, he gives in.

Pastor Cal has the third couple, Karen and Miles, and everyone agrees. Miles has a friend who they are considering, Woody. Viviani suggests Amani and Woody, she is wondering if opposites could attract. Everyone agrees. Dr. Pepper likes Olivia and Brett together. Pastor Cal is concerned that she is more successful professionally than him. It’s official, that is the five couples who will be married at first sight. The professionals go tell the engaged couples.
