The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) will remain on this dark path as reality becomes more distant. It’s clear that B&B writers are taking the character to some troubling places, but the worst is still to come.
This storyline will end with a startling conclusion – perhaps a crossed line that exposes Thomas’ need for urgent treatment.
However, there’s hope for Thomas’ recovery and future. It’s always possible The Bold and the Beautiful will choose to kill Thomas off, but that’d be a waste of a good actor.
Atkinson is quite talented and has managed to win fans over despite Thomas’ problematic behavior. It’d be better if B&B could finally allow Thomas to focus on his mental health and find a way forward.
Once Thomas gets the necessary help and truly recovers, who should he be paired up with? It never hurts to think about what’s ahead for Thomas, especially since fans have been waiting so long on a real love interest for the character – a chance for mutual feelings, not a one-sided obsession.
With that in mind, let’s consider all Thomas’ main love interest options and what they’d bring to the table. Here are six possibilities for Thomas following his recovery.
1) Flo Fulton
Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) and Wyatt Spencer’s (Darin Brooks) happiness may not last forever, so Thomas and Flo might be an interesting duo. Thomas has spent plenty of time on Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) bad side because of Hope, but maybe Wyatt could become Thomas’ new rival in a Flo love triangle.
2) Shauna Fulton
If not Flo, what about her mom? Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) may be a bit old for Thomas, but sparks fly when the fly. If Eric Forrester (John McCook) ultimately reunites with Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer), we wouldn’t be surprised if Shauna pursued yet another Forrester by getting together with Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) son!
3) Quinn Forrester
Quinn is feeling frustrated and blue over the potential destruction of her marriage. If Eric divorces Quinn, he could leave her single and ready for Thomas upon his recovery. Even if it was just a fling, Thomas and Quinn might be fun.
4) Hope Spencer
This option may be a controversial one, but we can’t rule out the idea of Thomas and Hope becoming a true couple. If Thomas gets the help he needs and becomes capable of healthy love, B&B writers may not be able to resist capitalizing on Atkinson and Noelle’s fantastic onscreen chemistry.
5) Zoe Buckingham
Some Thomas and Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) fans never felt like they were given a fair chance as a couple. Could Zoe and Thomas get a do-over down the road? Zoe has her hands full with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Zende Forrester-Dominguez (Delon de Metz) right now, but you never know what the future might bring.
6) Paris Buckingham
Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) is another great option for Thomas after he recovers – a clean slate love interest! Since Zoe’s love story with Thomas had a bad ending, she might warn Paris away only to be ignored. As long as Thomas’ recovery sticks this time, he could have a chance to be happy – and it might as well be with Paris.
Those are six love interest options that are currently on canvas, but it’s always possible B&B will bring in someone new for Thomas eventually. As long as Thomas gets his shot at being a normal leading man, viewers may not be too picky! We’ll offer updates as other news rolls in.
