The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that the CBS soap will officially resume filming on Wednesday, June 17. This makes B&B the first scripted series to resume production on U.S. soil after halting due to COVID-19 in mid-March.
Of course, The Bold and the Beautiful is already up and running again in a more general sense. Don Diamont (Bill Spencer), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Forrester) all acknowledged B&B’s return on their Instagram accounts.
The show’s stars have been getting the appropriate testing in preparation for their first scenes back.
B&B has to look out for the health of their cast and crew members, so they’ll naturally be following all the necessary safety protocols. Once pre-production’s taken care of, new scenes can be filmed. Again, that’s starting June 17 according to TV Line! That means we could see new episodes airing as early as July, so that’s certainly great to hear.

As for those safety protocols, storylines will have to be adjusted along the way. In fact, Deadline confirms that some completed scripts were reworked due to having a smaller cast on set at one time. B&B is normally a show that’s driven by romantic stories and love triangles, so they’ll have to work around some issues to keep putting out a quality product. However, we have no doubt that the writers can get creative and make it happen. Between business stories and broken hearts, there’ll be a lot to play around with.
