The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers has some sad news to pass on about a popular B&B star. Don Diamont, who portrays Bill Spencer on the CBS soap, recently shared with his followers on Instagram that his father-in-law passed away.
Don has been married to his wife Cindy since 2012, and sadly Cindy’s mother passed away just three years ago as well.
Don shared some photos of his father-in-law John along with himself and his family, including some pictures from Don and Cindy’s wedding and some throwback pictures of John in earlier days.
Don’s caption reads as follows: “This is a cherished picture taken on the Santa Monica Pier from a beautiful day spent with my dear father-in-law, John Kolbo. We lost him over the weekend after years spent battling the debilitating challenges of Alzheimer’s Disease.”
Don continued: “He was a great grandfather, grandfather, father, and husband, widowed three years ago after losing his BELOVED wife, Sandy. John was a Marine, and then a dedicated Anaheim Police Officer who served as he lived, with honor and integrity. A life well lived, he is now free from the confines and tortures of this horrible illness, and no doubt comforted and smiling back in warm embrace of the absolute love of his life, Sandy! RIP John!!”
Many of Don’s soap star colleagues have responded to his sad message with their love and support. Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott, Y&R) replied to Don’s post with: “May you and your family feel peace and please tell Cindy you are in my prayers.”
And Darin Brooks (Wyatt Spencer, B&B) commented: “Ah man I’m so sorry! Sending you guys all our thoughts and prayers!”
Don’s fans and followers also have been steadily responding to his sad announcement. One fan commented: “My deepest condolences to you and your family. Rest in peace to your dear John who is reunited with his true love.”
Other fans responded by sharing that they have been through the loss of a family member to Alzheimer’s Disease as well. For example, one person commented: “So sorry about your loss. I lost my father to this & it’s such a horrible unforgiving disease that crushes the hearts of the family to see their loved one slowly slipping away piece by piece. My heart goes out to you all.”
