The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) could find herself caught in a heated dad battle. After Hope sets up a visit between Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri), she’ll be pleased over the fatherly side of Thomas.
It’ll only solidify in Hope’s mind that Thomas has changed and wants to be a better man for his son.
That’s indeed what Thomas wants, but Hope’s operating under the assumption that Thomas has a choice in the matter. The truth is Thomas is mentally ill – and that’s a game-changer.
Thomas can’t just choose to make his dark impulses go away on his own. He needs therapy and medication to make any kind of true change.
Of course, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) won’t be happy when he gets updates on Thomas’ latest visit with Douglas. It’ll lead to Liam questioning Thomas’ motives, so Hope will get riled up. Hope knows Thomas has made major mistakes, including ones that hurt Douglas.
Nevertheless, Hope will feel confident Thomas is past that mentality. She won’t believe Thomas has any sort of agenda, especially not one that involves manipulating Douglas again. Liam, on the other hand, will think Hope’s got some serious blinders on.
Liam will likely accuse Thomas of more Douglas manipulation and worry the kid’s going to get his emotions messed with. B&B fans know Liam has become a big part of Douglas’ life, so he’s stepped in a fatherly role of his own. It’s clear that Liam is like another dad to Thomas in a way.
Liam will feel obligated to protect Douglas, but Hope may put Liam in his place on that. She may refuse to let Liam or anyone else keep Thomas apart from Douglas.
Naturally, that doesn’t mean Liam will listen! Liam could easily take his concerns to Thomas himself and hurl some accusations.
There’s a good chance Liam will feel like Thomas is angling for a reunited “Thope” family, so he may go to war over this Douglas issue. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Hope will get stuck in the middle of all this, so it’ll put her marriage to the test.
