The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is devolving right in front of viewers’ eyes. Thomas recently took a mannequin that looks just like Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) home with him, and much to his dismay, he started hearing a voice that sounds like Hope’s coming from the mannequin.
And now Thomas is hearing the mannequin’s voice even when he’s at the office and talking to other people. It’s pretty disturbing.
Well, one wonders exactly where this storyline is headed. Thomas could be suffering from stress and sleep deprivation, which could explain why he’s hearing the mannequin talk, or things could be much worse and Thomas could be suffering from a serious psychological breakdown.
Hearing voices is something that’s considered to be a very serious symptom, and it could get much worse before it gets better.
Thomas has also recently been very negative toward Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), and he spent the greater part of a recent B&B episode ranting to John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) all about how he detests Liam and how Liam is a serial waffler who has done great damage to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
Thomas is definitely all worked up about Liam right now, and he’s even been imagining the mannequin calling Liam names, like “Mr. Flip Flop.”
One wonders how far the show is going to take this. Obviously, Thomas is hearing voices from the mannequin for a reason, and it’s got to be building up to something. How long before the mannequin starts telling Thomas to do something horrible, like to harm Liam?
It’s a terrible thought, but what if the mannequin instructs Thomas to eliminate Liam from the picture, so that Thomas can have Hope all to himself?
It’s been made pretty clear that Thomas’ thinking is seriously messed up right now, and at the end of Wednesday’s episode, Thomas seemed to be saying things out loud to Finn that he didn’t really mean to be saying.
What if Thomas starts doing things that he wouldn’t normally do, like try to harm Liam in order to realize his dream of being with Hope. Who knows – the mannequin might even tell Thomas that he needs to save Hope from Liam…permanently.
We’ll see what happens, but all this devolving on Thomas’ part has to be leading to something big. Will the mannequin ultimately instruct Thomas to do away with Liam once and for all? What do you think?
