The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Monday, December 21 Recap - Steffy Sleeps With Finn - Liam Vows To Earn Hope’s Trust & Love

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Monday, December 21, reveal that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) decompressed at the cabin.

After some talk about nearly losing Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), Hope credited Liam for being a good man, and she said that she was thankful to be married to him.

Hope said that she was frightened by what happened to Thomas, and that it means a lot to her that Liam was there and stood by her side despite his differences with Thomas.

Liam said that he never wants to take Hope or their family for granted, and that he knows how blessed he is to be married to her. Liam went on, saying that it was a goal for him to work toward earning Hope’s trust and love.

“No matter what happens, promise me you’ll never doubt how much I love you,” Liam said. Hope smiled and promised that she wouldn’t. Hope then said she was going to check on the kids, then she’d meet Liam in the bedroom.

Liam looked uncomfortable, and he flashed back to everything that had gone on in the past couple of days, including to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) telling him that he couldn’t tell Hope about their affair.

Meanwhile, over at the cliff house, Steffy and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) sat near the fire while Steffy tried to get used to the fact that Kelly Spencer (Colette and Avalon Gray) was spending the night at a friend’s house. Finn reported that he checked with the hospital, and that Thomas was resting for the evening.

Steffy said that she wouldn’t forget what Finn did. “My brother is alive because of you,” Steffy said. Finn seemed a little distracted, and he wondered if Thomas could have avoided the need for emergency surgery if he had acted sooner. Finn admitted to feeling a bit guilty about not catching Thomas’ problem before he did, and Steffy said that guilt was a waste that only makes a person feel terrible.

“You saved a person’s life – you should be proud of that,” Steffy told Finn, adding that she loved him. Finn said that he loved Steffy, too. Stuffy gushed that Finn was a wonderful man and that she was glad he came into her life. “Good, because I plan on sticking around,” Finn said.

A short time later, Steffy called for Finn from the bedroom, and when he entered, he found Steffy in some slinky lingerie.

Steffy and Finn made love, and afterwards Finn told Steffy that he was here for all of it – the ups, the downs, the highs, and the lows. Steffy said that Finn showed up at a crazy time in her life and that he was there for her when she went through the hardest thing that she’s ever been through.

Steffy said that Finn meant a lot to her and that she was committed to him.

Over at Brooke Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) mansion, she and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) spoke about how good Finn was for Steffy. Brooke wondered what about Thomas set off alarm bells for Finn, and Ridge explained that Finn had noticed changes in Thomas.

Ridge said that he was forever grateful to Finn and to Hope, noting that without Hope, Thomas wouldn’t be alive right now.

Ridge told Brooke that he was blown away by Hope’s ability to forgive and to get past what Thomas did. Ridge admitted that it was hard to see his son attached to all those machines at the hospital, and that he just wanted to take Thomas’ place.

Brooke said that they wanted to protect their kids, and Ridge and Brooke were happy that they were on this journey together.
