The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Monday, September 28, reveal that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) found Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) in her living room. “You’re still here? I thought you left,” Steffy said.
Ridge wondered how Steffy was feeling, and Steffy grumped that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) stole her baby. Ridge disagreed, and Steffy fired back that Ridge was implying that she was a bad mother.
Ridge replied that Steffy was an amazing parent when she’s not taking pain meds. “They’re not helping you anymore,” Ridge said. “They’re pulling you in deeper and deeper into a place you don’t want to be.”
Steffy balked, saying that she wasn’t some addict, and that she was an open book about her pill use. But Ridge said that Steffy was in denial and that she needed to admit that there’s a problem.
Steffy insisted that her problem was that Liam and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) had Kelly Spencer (Colette and Avalon Gray). Ridge persisted, and Steffy said that she wasn’t dependent on the pills, and that Ridge was siding with Hope and Liam.
Ridge was incredulous, saying that he wasn’t siding with anyone. “Look at you. You need help – rehab.” Ridge said.
Steffy said that Ridge was buying into Liam and Hope’s story, and she grabbed her car keys and headed for the door. Ridge asked where she was going, and Steffy said that she was headed over to Hope and Liam’s place to get her daughter back.
Ridge blocked the front door, saying that he didn’t care if Steffy hated him or not.
“Wow, my own father siding with the people who stole my baby,” Steffy fumed. “I won’t ever be able to forgive you.” Ridge said that was a chance that he had to take.
Meanwhile, at the cabin, Hope and Liam rehashed what had happened the night before at Brooke Logan’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) place. Liam said that he never thought Steffy would go there, and he openly wondered how they had gotten to this place.
Liam then got a text, and he told Hope that he got hold of John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and told him there was something urgent to discuss.
Finn came in, wondering what was going on, and Liam started in saying that Finn should have seen it already but that his crush on Steffy probably prevented him from seeing it and he should have recused himself as Steffy’s doctor.
“With all due respect, that’s not your call,” Finn said firmly. Liam and Hope told Finn about Steffy’s situation off-screen, and Finn was shocked.
Liam continued to grump at Finn, but Hope pointed out that this wasn’t helping Steffy. Finn learned all about how Liam took Kelly from Steffy’s care, and Finn worried that this could make Steffy feel the need to use more.
Finn wondered where Steffy was now, and Liam and Hope relayed that she was in her father’s care at the cliff house.
Hope and Liam disclosed how Steffy had pulled a knife on them, and Finn was completely taken aback. After hearing about Steffy’s personality changes and demeanor, Finn said that those were all the signs of someone struggling with addiction.
Finn offered to try to get through to Steffy, perhaps to make up for what he missed right in front of him. “You were right to call me out,” Finn admitted.
Hope interjected that no one was casting blame, and the three of them agreed that the time to do something was now. Hope said that she thought she shouldn’t be present, since it seemed to agitate Steffy. Liam suggested that he and Finn go to Steffy’s place together to show a united front. Finn and Liam took off, with Hope wishing them luck
Back at the cliff house, Steffy grouched at Ridge, who unsuccessfully tried to get her to eat breakfast. Suddenly, Liam walked in, and Steffy immediately asked if he brought Kelly with him.
Liam said no, and Steffy fumed that Liam wasn’t welcome there. Finn then walked in, and Steffy softly asked what he was doing here. “I’m concerned,” Finn said.
Steffy started rambling, saying that she was upset because Liam and Hope took Kelly. “After Liam found you passed out with pills that I didn’t give you,” Finn said. Steffy insisted it was no big deal, and that she just needed a little help to get over this hump. “Get out, all of you!” Steffy yelled.
Liam then spoke, telling Steffy that he loved her and that he wouldn’t lie to her. “You have a problem, and you won’t solve it by yourself. You need help so that you can be reunited with Kelly,” Liam said. Liam went on, saying that none of this was Steffy’s fault, and that his taking Kelly wasn’t permanent.
Steffy then fumed, “Don’t you see? There’s no help! I need them! I need my pills!” Steffy looked horrified at the words coming out of her mouth, and she appeared frantic and agitated.
