Payment was made and Shauna took a selfie video of the happy couple after the ceremony. Richards’ character awakens late the next morning, with a hangover that’s as bad as her new husband’s. She notices the video of herself and Ridge when checking her smartphone, which viewers recall was the impulse device Shauna used to record the Brill cabin kiss.

When last he spoke about the matter, Ridge had not filed the divorce paperwork that he and Brooke signed months ago. He apparently didn’t destroy those legal documents, which indicated his ongoing concerns about Bridge’s ability to fully resolve its problems and fully reconcile.

Married in Vegas, or not, instant questions would be viable regarding the validity of what transpired. Surely Ridge would contact Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) to address the legality of the Shidge marriage.
Ridge’s and Shauna’s growing fondness for each other wouldn’t be in question. Instead, their altered states of mind, if provable, would serve as seeming dual reasons for at least challenging, if not invalidating what happened.
Separately, Ridge would hope to keep this incredible secret from Brooke. Though this is soap, so fans would expect her to learn the truth and see resulting drama.
