The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer) is weighing in on a hotly debated topic. In an interview with TV Insider, Clifton was asked who Liam’s destined to be with. Although Clifton’s answered this question in other interviews, he decided to give a different answer this time around.
In fact, Clifton suggested there wasn’t an answer all – not a definitive one anyway. When it comes to Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Liam’s always going to be drawn to both of them. One woman might win Liam’s heart in the moment, but that doesn’t mean it’ll be the case forever. It never is for Liam!
“It’s 50/50 and I think it always will be,” Clifton admitted. “Liam could be with one, torn between the two, or with the other. The nature of the triangle has to be where neither will definitively win. You have two different camps. The Hope fans are diehard and the Steffy fans are equally so, too. You can never really answer that question.”
That answer is probably for the best considering how often Liam has a change of heart. Liam has become known for his flip-flopping tendencies on The Bold and the Beautiful. You’d be hard-pressed to find a soap character who was more indecisive. Liam just can’t stick with Hope or Steffy for very long!
“Liam may believe Hope is the love of his life, but then he’ll have moments where he realizes that Steffy is,” Clifton said. Of course, many fans out there feel like both Hope and Steffy deserve better at this point. Liam can only go back and forth so many times!
Since Liam’s taken so much flak for being the resident waffler, Clifton’s glad to be sharing that title with his onscreen brother these days.
“I’ve been ribbing Darin [Brooks, Wyatt] who now knows more what it’s like to be in Liam’s position where he’s gone back and forth between Flo (Katrina Bowden) and Sally (Courtney Hope),” Clifton said.
Wyatt has indeed taken a page out of Liam’s playbook lately when it comes to jerking around the women in his life.
When it comes to being vocal on social media, Clifton’s all for it. He pointed out that he’s never one to shy away from controversy or debates. The B&B star doesn’t mind disagreements and enjoys the interactions they can bring.
“I’m going to speak controversially,” Clifton insisted. “In terms of the show and my opinions about it, my ethic there is if I’m going to be provocative then it’s not fair for me to ignore the response to that. If I am going to say something that will cause a fan base to react, I owe it to them to respond.”
As for what’s ahead on B&B, Liam and Hope will inevitably face more Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) drama. Once the show’s back with all-new episodes, “Lope” should face another round of obstacles. We’ll deliver updates as other news rolls in.
