The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Thomas’ Drastic Personality Change After Surgery - Becomes Man Hope Can Love?

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) family will have some stressful moments as they’re waiting to find out what’s wrong with him.

After Thomas’ sudden collapse, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) have been asking a lot of questions about what happened to him and what’s going to happen to him from here.

The good news is that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) will soon have some answers, but unfortunately the news will be difficult to hear. It’s likely that Thomas will be suffering from a prior head injury that worsened over time, caused his ongoing symptoms, and eventually resulted in his collapse.

Thomas’ loved ones will reel when they hear the diagnosis, and it won’t be long before Thomas needs emergency surgery to deal with the problem.

Well, brain surgery is a big deal, and depending on where the problem in Thomas’ brain is located, he could end up suffering some aftereffects from the surgery itself.

If Thomas is suffering issues with the areas of the brain that have to do with personality, then Thomas could wake up from surgery a very different person than he was before.

Might Thomas undergo a serious personality shift, or be totally different when he wakes up? Thomas’ designing talents have been a major topic of conversation on the show recently, so one wonders if Thomas’ design abilities could be altered as a result of his surgery and/or the brain issue that he’s got.

And at a more personal level, Thomas’ whole nature of being could be different.

Of course, if Thomas wakes up and is a kinder, gentler person than he was before, one can imagine how various characters will react to that. Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) will probably be skeptical, since they’ve seen Thomas fake a new persona in the past.

But Steffy, Ridge, and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) will probably argue that Thomas couldn’t be faking anything mere moments after waking up from brain surgery.

If Thomas does wake up as a changed man for the better, then that will probably go a long way toward him eventually getting partial custody of Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) back.

And it could go a long way toward an eventual relationship with Hope. Considering that Hope will probably soon find out that Liam cheated on her with Steffy, she’s probably going to turn her back on her marriage.

Perhaps Thomas will emerge from his ordeal as the best version of Thomas that he can be, and if that’s the case, then he probably won’t push Hope at all toward a relationship. It might just naturally happen, though, in an organic and smooth way.

Hope will need a new love interest, assuming that she finds out about Liam’s cheating and dumps him, and she and Thomas could very well get closer as Thomas convalesces.

Who knows – Hope might even care for Thomas once he’s released from the hospital and he’s getting back on his feet. That could certainly pave the way for feelings to grow, and with Douglas in the mix, the three of them could be on the road to forming a happy family!

We’ll see what happens here, but we suspect that if Thomas undergoes a personality change, then it will only help him to get closer to Hope. Do you expect to see Thomas become the kind of man that Hope can love?
