The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that a happy reunion is coming up for Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) during the week of November 16-20. This is kind of a strange spoiler considering Thomas loves to gush about how well he coparents with Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle).
Thomas is already involved in Douglas’ life, so maybe the show’s suggesting we’ll actually see Douglas reunite with Thomas on screen. General Hospital is using some of their older child actors at this point, so maybe B&B is following their lead and letting Henry Joseph Samiri return for some crucial scenes.
Of course, the reunion part could indicate Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) will try to keep Thomas and Douglas apart for a while. It’d make sense after Liam’s latest mannequin discovery. It might be Hope who puts her foot down and insists it’s all right for Douglas to see his dad.
Regardless, it’s interesting that Douglas is getting back in the mix now. It seems like Douglas could play a crucial role in exposing Thomas’ troubling mental state. As Thomas sinks further and further into this delusion, will he fully believe he’s going to be a family with “Hope” and Douglas?
It’s easy to imagine Thomas acting like this mannequin is the real Hope and freaking Douglas out. Thomas might encourage Douglas to give Mommy Hope a hug or scold him for not washing up for dinner like Mommy Hope told him to.
Poor Douglas could stand there dumbfounded and be like, “Dad…that’s not Mommy Hope. That’s just a doll.” We’ve seen Thomas lash out at Douglas in the past, so B&B might bring back that angry, manipulative side of Thomas.
He might rip into the kid over the disrespect and demand that Douglas apologize to this mannequin version he believes is Hope.
The Bold and the Beautiful has the potential to rev up the creepiness by putting Douglas in the middle of all this. Later, Douglas could tell Hope and Liam that his daddy doesn’t know when to stop playing make believe.
Since Douglas was the little hero of the Baby Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) saga, perhaps he could be the hero of this one, too. Douglas might even help Thomas see that he’s not thinking like a rational person and needs true help.
