The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Thursday, October 15, reveal that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) noticed that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) was distracted. Hope admitted to not understanding why Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) rushed off to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
Hope said that Steffy got to choose who she spends time with, and Thomas pointed out that Liam is just feeling protective of Kelly Spencer (Colette and Avalon Gray).
Still, Hope said that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) seemed like a good choice to her – he was an accomplished doctor and he was caring and sensitive.
Hope thought that Steffy needed some excitement after the past couple of months, and that everyone wants love. Thomas thought that Finn and Steffy weren’t quite at that stage yet, but Hope said that it appeared to be heading in that direction.
Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) entered the office with some design sketches for Hope to peruse. Hope made a big deal over the designs, which she loved, while Thomas watched intently.
Hope showed Thomas the designs and asked him what he thought. “Yeah, looks good,” Thomas said shorty, and Hope told Zende to set up a meeting with Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) about the concepts.
After Zende took off, Hope checked her phone but hadn’t heard back from Liam. Thomas hoped that Liam wasn’t going too hard on Steffy, so that Kelly could have a peaceful homecoming. Hope wondered why Liam couldn’t let Steffy move on with her life, especially with someone like Finn.
Meanwhile, at the cliff house, Finn pointed out to Liam that addiction happens more often than they might expect. Liam fired back that it happened on Finn’s watch, and that it all could have been avoided if Finn hadn’t pursued a relationship with Steffy.
Finn told Liam that he planned on being around for a while, and that he understood that Liam would be in Steffy’s life forever. But Finn also said that it didn’t give Liam the right to accuse him of making dangerous decisions as a doctor.
Finn told Liam that he didn’t chase after Steffy, and that she wants this relationship as much as he does…and Liam is going to have to accept that. Liam griped about Steffy being vulnerable, and Finn agreed but he argued that Steffy had completed her program.
Liam thought that Finn was pushing a relationship on Steffy, and Finn stated that Liam might have the wrong impression of him.
Finn told Liam that he did attempt to end things with Steffy, but that Steffy wouldn’t let him walk out the door. Liam seemed unnerved by this. Steffy returned to the room and immediately noticed that Liam and Finn seemed stressed.
Both Liam and Finn said they were good. Steffy thanked Liam for taking care of Kelly while she was recovering, and she thanked Finn for surprising her and having Kelly at the house to see her. Liam looked miffed.
Liam then insisted that he needed a moment alone with Steffy, so Finn took off. Steffy thought that Liam looked concerned, and she guessed that it had something to do with Finn.
Liam said that it was hard to sit back and say nothing if he saw trouble. “Trouble with Finn?” Steffy said with a smile. Liam then launched into his “overstepping the boundaries” accusation against Finn, and Steffy said that Finn hadn’t done anything inappropriate.
Liam fired back that Finn should have seen the signs, but Steffy said that SHE was the one who lied, and that she was sneaking pills and Finn had no idea. “His job is to have an idea,” Liam said.
Liam said that crossing ethical lines reveals a man’s character. “What do you really know about him?” Liam said. Steffy protested, but Liam continued, wanting to know why Steffy wanted to be with someone who put her life in danger.
At Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) new loft, Carter told Zoe that she made him happy and that he wanted to share the loft with her. Zoe said that Carter was being very sweet, and Carter hoped that he wasn’t putting Zoe on the spot.
Zoe said that she felt wanted, which was nice, and she said that she wasn’t prepared for this to happen yet.
Carter went on, saying that they should jump in with both feet and that he saw a great future ahead for them. Carter explained that when his engagement to Maya Avant (Karla Mosely) ended, he focused on his work and put off that part of his life.
But then Carter said that he met Zoe, and now he wants Zoe to make this a home with him.
Carter also said that he didn’t notice other women because of Zoe, and this seemed to make Zoe a bit uncomfortable, especially when Carter said that he thinks Zoe feels the same way about him. Zoe said that Carter was making it hard to say no. “Then don’t,” Carter said. “Stay with me, take this key, and say yes.”
