The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers update for Monday, July 20, tease that the show will be back on with new episodes, so that’s something big to celebrate. Monday’s new episode will mark the first original episode since the coronavirus hiatus, and it sounds like it will primarily get viewers back up to speed on what was going on just before the hiatus. Still, it will be great to see original programming again, and we’ve got the scoop right here about what you can expect.
Interestingly, this episode was filmed before the pandemic ended up shutting down production, and it seems that viewers will bet back up to speed on where everything stands as Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) makes the rounds and learns from other characters about what has been going on with respect to the main show storylines.
First off, Katie Logan (Heather Tom) will talk with Carter, filling him in on what happened at Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) reunion party.
As B&B viewers will remember, Katie and everyone else at the party were stunned when a video of Brooke and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) kissing was prominently displayed on a digital photo frame that Ridge had given to Brooke. Bill and Brooke had shared their kiss a few days prior.
Well, the kiss was certainly something that Brooke and Bill hoped would never be known by anyone. Brooke immediately dismissed the kiss as a major mistake, while Bill found himself quite distracted by the kiss afterwards, and it was pretty clear that he was getting hung up on Brooke again.
And of course, this is a problem because of Bill’s ongoing relationship with Brooke’s sister Katie. The video of the kiss caused a major kerfuffle, and Ridge walked out on Brooke.
Of course, from there, Ridge ended up in Las Vegas with Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards), where the couple seemed to get married, since footage of them drinking and in front of a wedding chapel was shown on screen.
Now, Ridge is back with Brooke, after having been kidnapped by the Forrester pilot and dragged home while he was in a blackout drunk. It sounds like Carter will hear all the sordid details from Katie.
Later, Carter will meet up with Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes), and talk will turn to her ill-fated romance with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson). It looks like we’ll get a nice summary of how Thomas was “outed” at his wedding to Zoe by Hope Logan (Annika Noelle).
As B&B viewers will remember, Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) had a total meltdown during the wedding, but it turned out that it was staged, so that Hope could return to the wedding wearing the gown that Thomas designed for her.
After that happened, Thomas very publicly forsake Zoe and agreed to marry Hope, who then turned the tables on him and revealed that she, Zoe, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) were in cahoots to publicly expose his manipulations and true character.
Afterwards, Hope and Liam reunited and planned to form a nice, happy family with Douglas and Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez).
Finally, B&B spoilers say that Zoe and Carter will learn all about what’s going on with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and her supposed fatal illness. As viewers will remember, Sally is faking a terminal illness in order to win back Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks).
She managed to wrangle Wyatt into inviting her to live at his beach house, but she started having difficulty in turning Wyatt away from his true love Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden).
Well, Zoe and Carter won’t learn about Sally’s deception, since the only people who currently know about it are Sally, Sally’s co-conspirator Penny Escobar (Monica Ruiz), and now Flo. Flo found out about Sally’s scheme before Penny conked Flo over the head and rendered her unconscious.
The action left off right before the hiatus with Wyatt returning to the beach house and viewing something shocking in the living room, which was right after Sally and Penny had been scrambling to remove Flo’s body from the room.
So, it sounds like viewers will get a nice recap and refresh on Monday’s episode, and that will set up the rest of the week for all the action!
