The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that there’s one thing you can usually count on – and that’s frequent romantic shakeups for Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). Liam’s a waffler to the core, so he never sticks with his current love interest. Maybe Liam will settle on one woman when he’s old and gray, but it certainly isn’t going to happen anytime soon.
With that in mind, we have to ask: What will drive Liam back to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood)? The Bold and the Beautiful fans have watched it happen too many times, so we all expect a “Steam” reunion at some point.
It’s just a matter of what’ll pull Liam away from Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and push him closer to Steffy again.
Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) could cause more problems for “Lope” once he comes back on the scene. Liam and Hope want to protect Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) from his father’s manipulation, but that could be easier said than done.
Thomas probably isn’t going to reform overnight, but he’s still going to want his son back.
Custody battles can be stressful, so that’s the kind of thing that could cause issues for Liam and Hope. Even if they can reach an agreement with Thomas, Liam’s old concerns could come back around.
Hope and Thomas are always going to be connected through Douglas, so “Lope” will never be rid of Thomas and the threat he may continue to pose.
Thomas has done some truly terrible things and it’ll take real work to change his mentality. There may be some relapses along the way, even if Thomas genuinely commits to turning things around. Thomas has caused drama for Liam and Hope before, so he could do it again.
Of course, Liam could also battle some jealousy if Steffy winds up moving on with someone else. On soaps, that’s often a good way to reignite a character’s feelings. Liam could find himself wanting what he doesn’t have!
There’s also the potential for Liam and Steffy to grow closer through Kelly Spencer (Collette and Avalon Gray). Steffy and Liam are always going to be tied together as coparents.
If Kelly were to face a medical crisis, that’d be another tactic B&B could use to push Liam back to Steffy. No matter how it happens, you can bet Steffy and Liam will reunite down the road. “Steam” never fails to come back around, so we’ll see what brings them together again eventually!
