The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) may have some secrets when he returns to Los Angeles. There are surely some bombshells coming up on new episodes starting Monday, July 20. What’s Zende been up to since we last saw him? Why will Zende seemingly be willing to leave Nicole Avant Forrester (Reign Edwards) behind in Paris?
It’s possible a Nicole comeback is looming as well, but a split seems like the best option here. Naturally, that stirs up more questions. This might be a good opportunity to tie Zende’s hot plot in with another storyline – one involving another split we never got many answers about.
B&B fans will recall that Maya Avant (Karla Mosley) returned with divorce news at one point, but what was the real reason for that divorce? Could Zende have played a role in why Maya and Rick Forrester (Jacob Young) split up? Before Zende left the show, he rushed to Maya’s defense several times. Zende was always quick to stand up to Julius Avant (Obba Babatunde).
After Nicole bailed on celebrating Zende’s success in Monte Carlo, Zende hit the club alone and ended up coming to Maya’s rescue. Maya was harassed for being transgender, but Zende defended her. Zende and Maya made a pact to keep that incident a secret from Nicole and Rick, so what other secrets have they been keeping since then?
The Bold and the Beautiful was clearly going somewhere with that story, but it was ultimately dropped. Now might be the perfect time to revisit it since this Zende recast is coming back to LA.
Whether Maya becomes part of the story again or not, that’d certainly be a way to explain both divorces. If Zende and Maya had an affair later, that might’ve convinced Rick and Nicole to dump them.
Of course, Zende could be paired up with Maya in the present! That just depends on whether B&B intends to put Maya back in the mix on upcoming new episodes.
The Bold and the Beautiful could even go for a love quadrangle featuring Zende, Maya, Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes). There’d be some great possibilities to work with in that case.
