The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Delon de Metz will make his debut as a Zende Forrester Dominguez recast on an upcoming episode. B&B fans are eager to meet this new version of Zende, but there are new hints to mull over in the meantime.
In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, de Metz talked about what led him to B&B and offered clues about his storyline.
While the show was on hiatus, The Bold and the Beautiful team was still making plans and trying to get things squared away for their comeback. During that time, B&B moved forward with recasting Zende, which brought some interesting challenges.
It led to a surprising new experience for de Metz, who admitted the last couple of months have been wild!
“Pretty much everything was on lockdown and [when] my agent sent it to me he said, ‘Hey, these guys are still working, you might have a lot of fun with this, take a look at these sides,’” de Metz recalled.
He became The Bold and the Beautiful’s new Zende three rounds of auditions later, but he had to score the role in a brand-new way.
Due to everyone being stuck at home, de Metz went through these auditions over Zoom. “This is the first time I had used Zoom with casting, or with an actress for a chemistry read, so that part of the process was definitely interesting and a unique experience for me,” de Metz said.
This B&B newcomer auditioned with the help of Casting Director Christy Dooley and Kiara Barnes (Zoe Buckingham). If you’re wondering about Zende’s next love interest, there’s your answer!
Since Barnes was involved in recasting Zende and had a chemistry read with de Metz, it certainly looks like a Zoe and Zende love story is coming up.
What about Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor)? Carter’s clearly interested in Zoe – and she’s interested in him at the moment, too. B&B may turn this into a love triangle for a while, but it sounds like Zende and Zoe may be the couple to root for here.
Zende may return to Los Angeles following a divorce from Nicole Avant (Reign Edwards) and sweep Zoe off her feet.
