Nicole finally tells her mom the truth about Alejandro still being married. Her mother is very upset. All three of them argue in the park. Nicole’s mother is very upset because this all hits close to home. Nicole’s father did the same thing to her. He lied for years about having another family and then left her to care for the kids. Angry and sad, Nicole’s mom walks off. Nicole tells Alejandro she needs to talk to her mom alone.
Karen and Chantel get ready for Royal and Angenette’s wedding. They have questions for Angenette while Angenette tells Royal he needs to control his family. If they cannot behave then they need to leave, she tells him.
The family all meets up to head to the two day wedding celebration. Royal tells them they need to behave or he will be forced to throw them out. They are offended which kicks off a debate. They are insulted and love him.
Nicole arrives home to talk to her mom alone. Her mom wants her to learn from her own mistakes. Their conversation isn’t very productive. Her mom refused to go to Carnival. Nicole leaves, thanking her for the advice.
Tension remains with the family as they arrive at the wedding with hundreds from Angenette’s village. Karen and Chantel ask Angenette’s mom if she was on Facebook fishing for American men. Angenette gets very upset, jumping in to translate, she says. Karen and Chantel believes it was all Angenette who was fishing, using her mom’s account. Angenette get s mad and tells Royal to get his family out of there.
Royal asks his family leave. They do. Angenette cries. Royal comforts her. They continue the party after her aunt talks to the village. Royals stands rubbing her arm. She apologizes.
Nicole and Alejandro head to Carnival. This is the first time in a long time she hasn’t gone with her mom. For Alejandro, this is the first time he has gone. He cannot wait to experiment this with Nicole. He is also nervous because he plans to give her a ring and she has no idea. He is very committed to her and cannot wait to show her.
Nicole and Alejandro arrive at the Carnival dressed in their masks. They laugh and kiss, having fun walking the streets.
Karen, Chantel and the rest of the family meet to discuss the pre-wedding celebration and what happened. They are annoyed. They feel like they did nothing wrong. They decide they need to talk to Royal. They head to speak to him and hope he will see they love him.
