After incredible performances from the top 9 last night, the finalists will be revealed tonight. And for the first time, there will be five in the finale.
Blake says that he noticed the most last night that depending on what kind of vocalist they are, they did really well at home versus being on a big stage. Kelly sees the pros and cons, it is nice to see more of their family, their home, they never get that. But sometimes when you have this big song, it is hard to pull off at home; she thinks it’s a good boot-camp for them. Nick thinks his team crushed it last night, in fact, all the artists did well.
One team at a team, the top vote-getter will get through to the finale. All the remaining artists will perform for an instant save, and that person will fill the fifth and final spot.
Team Kelly: Megan Danielle says Kelly told her to believe in herself and she does. Micah Iverson says Kelly means everything to her, she was the first person to turn her chair and whatever happens, he was thrilled to have her as his coach. The artist going through to the finale is Micah Iverson.
Team Nick: Allegra Miles thanks her grandmother for being an inspiration to her, she dedicated her song last night to her. Thunderstorm Artis devoted his song last night to his wife, who he says is the center of his universe. The artist going through to the finale is Thunderstorm Artis.
Team Legend: CammWess says his bond with John has been incredible, he is so happy to have had a chance to work with, he is very grateful for this moment as a whole. The artist going through to the finale is Todd Tilghman.
Team Kelly: Megan Danielle is singing, “Simple Man.” Judges Comment: Kelly: “You are so rock n roll girl, to be so young and be so cool, and so unaffected and raw talent. Everything you do it remarkable to me. No matter what happens I cannot wait to help you after this show. Your believability is off the charts.”
Team Nick: Allegra Miles singing, “In My Blood.” Judges Comment: Nick: “Allegra from the first moment I heard your voice I was blown away and you have just got better and better. You show your heart and your emotion, and you have brought so much joy. No matter what happens I am proud of you.”
Team Legend: Zan Fiskum singing, “Always Remember Us This Way.” Judges Comment: John: “I believe that was enough to keep her around. She has consistently stood out to me, your angelic voice, so many great things we have seen from you in this season. You have shown us your ability to master any song that you sing.”
Team Blake: Joanna Serenko singing, “Unaware.” Judges Comment: Blake: “You have had a big journey on this show and there is a reason for that. Every time there was a chance for you to go home, we didn’t let that happen. And last week, America didn’t let you go home because you are so special. You just took it to the next level.”
Team Blake: Toneisha Harris singing, “Loving You.” Judges Comments: Blake: “I think that she could hear the bird chirpings and hit a higher note that them, I didn’t even know that she could do that. The season is not long enough for us to learn all about you as a vocalist. You are somebody that has so many levels, so many tools in your toolbox, you are incredible.”
The instant save goes to Toneisha Harris.
