The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) impulsive tendencies could bring serious issues. Y&R fans know Adam wants to get back the memories he blocked out with Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) help, but Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) fighting him on this. Chelsea’s worried that Adam won’t find the peace of mind he’s seeking.
Of course, Chelsea’s also concerned about Sharon and Adam’s bond. Considering Adam’s history with Sharon, it’s tough to blame Chelsea here. It’s understandable that Chelsea would have a problem with Adam opening up to his former flame.
Chelsea surely knows this is yet another intense experience that could pull Sharon and Adam closer.
Nevertheless, it looks like Adam’s going to ignore Chelsea’s advice in the end and do what he wants. Adam just can’t rest until he remembers killing AJ Montalvo, but Chelsea’s probably right about that proving more disturbing than anything.
It’ll be difficult for Adam to cope once he gets back the deadly memories he’s pursuing. That’ll be one more crisis for Sharon to help Adam through.
Y&R’s setting Sharon up as the one Adam needs again and again – the one he can always turn to and rely on. As for Chelsea, she’s always quick to remind Adam that she’s his fiancée.
Chelsea loves to throw that word around, but she may not be Adam’s fiancée for much longer. Under the circumstances, nobody would be surprised if Adam trades his current fiancée for another one!
Adam wasn’t even a couple with Sharon the last time he proposed to her. Although Sharon turned Adam down, she was emotionally affected by that marriage proposal. There may always be part of Sharon that wants a future with Adam, even if she’s unwilling to admit it right now.
Things could change down the road, especially after Sharon faces a crushing setback. That should serve as Adam’s chance to return the favor and help Sharon the way she’s helped him. Support goes both ways for these two, so Adam will want to be the shoulder Sharon cries on.
As Adam grows closer to Sharon and drifts further away from Chelsea, could Adam have an epiphany about what he really wants? Could this lead to another impromptu marriage proposal?
Adam might pop the question to prove he has hope. Maybe Adam will come to realize that they could both use a new chapter – a fresh start together once Sharon’s on the other side of all this.
It would actually be a pretty Adam-like thing to do if he proposed while already engaged! Even if Adam dumps Chelsea first, it’s easy to imagine him wanting to move full-speed ahead with Sharon quickly. That’s just how Adam rolls.
Regardless, Adam’s proven that he’s impulsive – particularly when it comes to Sharon. The Young and the Restless writers might let Adam swap Sharon in as his new fiancée eventually.
Due to everything Sharon’s been though, she might determine life’s too short to spend it denying your feelings and fighting your deepest desires.
