The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Are You Still Rooting for Chelsea & Adam on New Y&R Episodes – ‘Chadam’ Changes Divide Fans

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) relationship will be put to the test when new episodes return. Chelsea was incredibly supportive when Adam made a power play at Newman Enterprises. She was completely on board with Adam going after the CEO seat and taking what he felt he was owed.

Of course, things have changed thanks to Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) story about what really happened in Kansas. Adam’s already been kicked off the throne – and now Chelsea’s worried that Adam really did kill AJ Montalvo as a boy.

Chelsea doesn’t see why Victor would tell a lie that paints Adam as a scared kid who protected his mother, Hope Wilson (last played by Beth Toussaint).

Once Adam ditches his denial, Y&R could put Adam and Chelsea at a crossroads. Will Adam shut Chelsea out or need her support more than ever? That depends on the direction The Young and the Restless writers want to take. However, there are some viewers out there who wouldn’t mind a “Chadam” breakup.

Although Adam and Chelsea have a rich history together, sometimes recasts can change the game. It’s arguably the reason why Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) romance with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) no longer seems to work.

Likewise, it’s hard to even imagine Billy with Michelle Stafford’s Phyllis Summers despite all the flying sparks with Gina Tognoni’s version.

Of course, Tognoni’s Phyllis didn’t seem to work with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), but now things are sizzling once again with Stafford back in the part. The point is recasting a role can make a big difference.

That brings us back to “Chadam” now that Mark Grossman’s playing Adam. Do you still feel the chemistry of the past? For some fans, Grossman’s Adam just doesn’t have the same chem with Chelsea that previous Adams had.

Although Grossman is a fantastic performer and has made the role of Adam his own, this is a separate issue from talent and onscreen presence. It’s just about whether you think “Chadam” still works at this point.

Naturally, there are plenty of “Chadam” fans who continue to cheer them on, so we want to know what you think!
