The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Billy Uses Media Division To Push Jill Out Of Chancellor Industries?

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) generosity may have opened the door to her ouster. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) was handed a job by his mother, which he accepted while complaining about having to share power with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).

Of course Jill was trying to help her often woebegone son and made a smart decision by including Lily as part of the plan. Khalil’s character brings a lot to the business table and serves as check on Billy against himself.

However, this is Billy, as all viewers know. So, would it come as a surprise if he used the latest opportunity he’s been given and turns on his mom? In one word, no.

Jill could be written into a situation where she allows Billy to temporarily take the reigns at CI, with no power share. He then uses the media division to make it appear as though his mother is unfit to return.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – A Point Of Compassion Offered

As viewers recently saw through a classic episode, Billy lost his father, John Abbott (Jerry Douglas), at a young age. At least he had a chance to get to know his dad, who was a great family man and the founder of Jabot. Thankfully, John lived a good long life.

Devoted fans also know that Billy (as then played by Billy Miller) later lost his beloved first-born child, Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono), through tragic circumstances.

The choice to leave her alone in the car with Dash, her dog, while Billy went to get ice cream for a party, resulted in Adam Newman (as then played by Michael Muhney) accidentally hitting Delia. That horrific moment ended her short life.

So, any analysis of Billy must include what will always be a major event in his life. It damaged him. That’s no excuse, just a subjective explanation.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Recklessness As A Lifestyle Choice

Billy had seemingly been doing well up until last summer. He was the unexpected positive force that sustained Villy during Vickie Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) terrible dealings with J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill). But Billy was triggered by Adam (as now played by Mark Grossman), due to his stunning return, after that crisis passed.

Billy’s descent into madness appeared to be halted by Vickie. However, Billy became convinced that she was holding him back, which resulted in his choice to end Villy. That was a selfish and reckless decision.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Billy Abbott Seizing Opportunity And Breaking Mother’s Heart

Of course, Billy’s bravado and risky choices are covers. He has a weak sense of himself and repeatedly ventures into questionable territory so that an inevitable fail will happen, which creates a scenario that’s familiar to him.

Circumventing Lily, his own sister, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), by using Chancellor Industries’ new media division against Jill won’t be easy. But Billy is shrewd and selfishly motivated. Regrettably, his mother won’t see what’s coming if her son pursues this course of betrayal.
