The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will rile up an old nemesis on new episodes starting Monday, August 10. Y&R fans know Jack and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) were bitter enemies for years, but they’ve managed to dial down their rivalry. There have been some nice moments between Jack and Victor over the last year or so.
Jack even found himself a bit torn up after Victor’s faked death, so they’ve come a long way! However, Victor and Jack will find a reason to clash during the week of August 10-14.
The Young and the Restless viewers will see Jack dish out some parenting tips on Thursday, August 13. Jack will just want to be helpful, so he’ll offer up some guidance – and presumably insult Victor in the process.
Victor knows best as far as he’s concerned, so he’d not a huge fan of unsolicited advice anyway. Nevertheless, Jack’s a loving dad who brings years of experience to the table.
Plus, Jack actually has a good relationship with his son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Maybe that’ll make Jack feel qualified to weigh in on the problems Victor’s facing with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
When Kyle revealed he was splitting from Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), Jack didn’t judge Kyle. Although Jack was disappointed that things didn’t work out for “Kola,” he was there for his son.
After Jack warned Kyle about rushing back into a relationship with Summer Newman (Hunter King), Jack was still supportive when Kyle ignored that advice.
It seems Jack’s learned that you have to let your grown children figure things out on their own. Jack may feel like it’d be best for Victor to take a step back from Adam.
Since Adam’s a friend of Jack’s, he could give Jack updates on Victor’s AJ Montalvo claims. Adam may insist it’s a load of garbage, but like Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) – Jack might see that it’d make sense under the circumstances.
Even so, Jack might think Victor’s pressure will only make matters worse. The ideal strategy may be to back off and let Adam come to grips with the truth – that he indeed killed AJ as a boy.
No matter what advice Jack offers, Victor isn’t going to approve. Y&R viewers know Victor can be stubborn, so he may argue that Adam is HIS son and he’ll decide how to handle this!
