The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that trouble’s on the horizon for Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). It’s to be expected since Mariah’s been bottling up her emotions lately. She’s turned herself into a ticking time bomb of growing fears and insecurities, so she’s about to explode in a big way!
Mariah was wary after Tessa revealed her ex-husband was Tanner Watts (Chase Coleman), a superstar recording artist who wanted Tessa to go on tour with him. Although Tessa assured Mariah she was never in love with Tanner and got her blessing to go, Mariah’s never quite been able to shake her concerns.
Lindsay (Kirby Bliss Blanton) the bartender hasn’t been helping with all her talk of unexpected hookups and how wild life can get on the road. Tanner hasn’t done much to relieve Mariah’s concerns either. In fact, he’s done just the opposite! Tanner sent Mariah a text through Tessa’s phone, hopped on Tessa’s video chat with Mariah, etc.
At this point, it’s kind of hard to tell if Tanner’s being manipulative or is just really that dense. Mariah’s also stressed to the max thanks to the loss of her job and Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) breast cancer crisis. She’s leaving Tessa out of the loop, so that’ll be important as this storyline moves forward.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Mariah will struggle to get in touch with Tessa during the week of February 24-28. Tanner will pick up instead, which will further fuel Mariah’s insecurities. He’ll let Mariah know that Tessa’s in the shower and will get back to her shortly.
We should note that when Coleman kicked off his Y&R stint, he put a bunch of his initial airdates on IMDb page. February 13 and 14 were originally scheduled, but preemptions delayed those episodes. So if Mariah is trying to call Tessa on Valentine’s Day, Tanner is the last person she’ll want to hear from!
Regardless, things will head downhill fast when Tessa returns the call. Mariah will be pleased to finally hear from Tessa via video chat, but there’ll be a big problem. Tanner will be roaming around shirtless in the background, so Mariah will let herself jump to a very wrong conclusion. She’ll demand to know if Tessa’s sleeping with Tanner, which will catch Tessa completely off guard.
It’s kind of strange that Y&R’s taking this story route considering Tessa labeled herself as gay. Of course, Tessa has also never been truly interested in anyone besides Mariah in her entire run on the show. She only pretended to love Noah Newman (Robert Adamson), so Mariah’s always been her one and only.
Nevertheless, Mariah’s insecurities aren’t a new thing for her. They’re just coming out even more now thanks to everything she’s dealing with and Tanner’s inability to grasp the concept of boundaries. There’ll definitely be some “Teriah” drama over Mariah’s cheating accusation. Tessa will naturally be upset and humiliated, so she’ll hang up on Mariah and leave them in a strained place.
The Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news point to everything working out just fine for Mariah and Tessa down the road, but fans can expect more conflict in the meantime. In other words, the situation will get a whole lot worse before it gets better!
