The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Thursday, December 17, tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will dine at Society.
Victor will tell Nikki that he’s keeping tabs on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), who is currently in Minnesota with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) near Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) school.
Victor will note that when he visited with Adam and Chelsea a while back, he got a very strange vibe from them, like something was off. Nikki will urge Victor not to worry about it and to accept that Adam cut him out of his life.
Nikki will think that Victor needs a distraction – a luxurious vacation in London. Victor will agree to think about it.
In a conference room at the jail, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will tell Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) about how Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) claimed that she returned to Kansas on the night of the shooting, but that she never boarded the flight.
Amanda will also tell Billy that Alyssa had shooting gloves in her hotel room and that she’s a competitive shooter. Amanda will have an idea on how to proceed, but it will be risky.
At Chancellor Communications, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will be on the phone learning from someone in Kansas that Alyssa has a temper and holds grudges.
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will arrive and want information about Billy’s case. Lily won’t want to share anything yet, and Victoria will take off. Soon, Amanda will call Lily to say that there’s someone she should contact.
Later, Lily will meet with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) at Crimson Lights and she’ll fill him in about Alyssa being a champion sharpshooter and finding shooting gloves in her room.
Rey won’t be pleased that Lily was in Alyssa’s room, but he’ll still be interested in the information. After Lily goes, Rey will call an officer and determine that Alyssa’s things haven’t been moved from her room at the Grand Phoenix yet.
Back in the conference room at the jail, Victoria will come to see Billy. Amanda will take off, and Victoria will acknowledge that what Billy and Lily have goes beyond friendship.
Victoria will vow to support Billy, and he’ll ask about the kids and want Victoria to tell them that he loves them and that he’ll see them soon. “Do you really think that’s true?” Victoria will ask. “I need it to be,” Billy will say.
At the Grand Phoenix, Rey will enter Alyssa’s room and search the place, eventually finding the shooting gloves in a drawer. Rey will put the gloves in an evidence bag and leave.
Meanwhile, down in the lobby, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) will talk about how Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) is gone. Liam will lament that he wanted Theo to walk away with nothing, but Theo got the Paris boutiques.
Over at Jabot, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will get a warning from Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about not getting ahead of herself after she gushes to him about Kyle and how he got ahead in his career so quickly.
Jack will take off, and Summer will enter, immediately telling Sally that she knows about Sally’s desire to run Jabot Collective (JCV). Summer will tell Sally not to underestimate her.
Sally will then proceed to tell Summer that she knows all about her spotty work history and that she got the JCV job because of her relationship with Kyle. Sally will say that Summer is a lightweight, and that they’ll see who ends up on top.
Summer will look unnerved. Later, Summer will tell Kyle that Summer is after her JVC position and that they had a nasty confrontation earlier. Kyle will think that they shouldn’t engage with Sally.
Over at the Grand Phoenix, Sally and Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will have a little chat. Lauren will say that Jack called her a “handful,” and that she needs to be careful with what she does with her ambition.
Lauren will advise Sally to trust herself and put in the hard work. Lauren and Sally will then head over to Jabot, where they’ll encounter Summer and Kyle in the boardroom.
Kyle will purposely call Summer his fiancée before they leave the boardroom to irk Sally, and then Sally will pitch her idea about updating Fenmore’s virtual dressing room app to Lauren.
Lauren will love the idea, and Lauren will say that Sally is a lot like she was as a young woman. “I will look after you,” Lauren will say, “Just don’t make me sorry that I did.”
Kyle and Summer will head over to Crimson Lights, where they’ll get some hot chocolate. Summer will note that Kyle called her his fiancée, and Kyle will say he did it to get under Sally’s skin.
Summer and Kyle will be laughing and having a good time when Jack comes in the place and sees them enjoying each other. Jack will almost go say something to Summer and Kyle, but he’ll stop himself from doing it.
