The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that the CBS soap will make the most of Bryton James (Devon Hamilton) and Brytni Sarpy’s (Elena Dawson) real-life relationship. It’s perfect since their characters are actually in a relationship, too.
Unlike the other couples in Genoa City, Devon and Elena will be able to kiss and touch freely. Sarpy and James don’t have to follow the same social distancing guidelines since they’re partners both on screen and off.
However, James and Sarpy aren’t the only real-life couple working at Y&R. Sharon Case (Sharon Newman) and Mark Grossman (Adam Newman) are also an item, so The Young and the Restless could easily reunite Sharon and Adam.
It’d be smart since Case and Grossman could also do intimate scenes together. A “Shadam” reunion would give Y&R one more couple to work with besides “Elevon.”
Let’s face it: putting Adam back with Sharon wouldn’t be that hard. Just last year, Adam proposed to Sharon when they weren’t even dating! The Young and the Restless consistently emphasized Adam and Sharon’s intense connection, so that’ll never really go away.
In fact, you could argue that’s the reason Sharon and Adam have stayed away from each other in recent months. Temptation is always strong when Adam and Sharon are in each other’s orbit. That brings us to some potential clues about Sharon being pulled closer to Adam.
A new preview video for the week of August 10-14 shows Adam showing up to see Sharon and asking for her help. Since Adam killed AJ Montalvo when he was just 11 years old, the incident was so deeply disturbing that he blocked it out. Adam has no memory of his deadly actions that fateful night in Kansas.
Will Sharon help Adam summon his blocked memories to the surface? If not, Sharon could at least help Adam once the memory flood inevitably happens. Adam will have a lot of trauma to work through, so Sharon’s support would be appreciated.
Meanwhile, we’ve got Sharon and her breast cancer battle. Adam’s bound to find out about Sharon’s diagnosis and surgery soon. You can bet Adam will express concern and show Sharon compassion. It could easily get Adam thinking about how horrible it’d be to lose Sharon.
We also know a terrible setback will leave Sharon distraught. It’d be so easy for Sharon to turn to Adam, particularly since he’ll also be going through a rough time. Y&R might bring these wounded souls together in their time of sorrow and uncertainty.
The Young and the Restless might as well take advantage of this steamy opportunity. Sharon can’t kiss Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), but she can kiss Adam and potentially do even more once she’s recovered enough! That’s because of Case and Grossman’s real-life relationship status, so let’s hope real becomes reel in this instance.
