The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, April 16, tease that Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will enjoy some “me time.” In a suite at the Grand Phoenix, Traci will kick back on the sofa with a satisfied smile and a celebratory beverage. It looks like Traci may decide to take Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) up on the Chancellor Media job they offered.
Traci will eventually settle in with a book and a cozy robe, so she’ll definitely have a pleasant evening. It turns out Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) bad day will also turn into a good night.
Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will treat Sharon to some romance in a suite of their own, so Sharon should appreciate this surprise and a chance to feel normal for a while – especially as she prepares for her upcoming surgery.
Sharon will express her gratitude to Rey for his continued love and support. Rey has certainly lived up to the “Mr. Everything” description that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) provided.
Speaking of Mariah, Y&R spoilers say she’ll cap off her night at Society. When Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) joins Mariah for drinks, they’ll quickly encounter a bubbly Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway).
It’s been a while since Abby’s seen Tessa, who’s been busy on tour with Tanner Watts (Chase Coleman). Now that Tessa’s back, Abby will take a moment to welcome her home and get caught up on her time on the road.
Unfortunately, an awkward conversation topic may arise. We can’t forget that Lindsay (Kirby Bliss Blanton) the Society bartender was a big part of “Teriah’s” recent relationship drama. Mariah ended up cheating with Lindsay, so it might be uncomfortable if her name comes up.
It doesn’t look like Lindsay has any more appearances scheduled, so Abby might mention that Lindsay quit or something along those lines. Regardless, Mariah and Tessa may have to tackle this topic again after Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) arrives.
Theo caught a glimpse of Mariah and Lindsay leaving together at one point, so this could be something he pushes Mariah’s buttons on.
Thankfully, Mariah and Tessa are solid. It would honestly be nice for them to dive deeper on this since they worked through the Linsday issue so fast. Mariah may worry that Tessa’s bottling up her feelings because of Sharon, but there’s no need for real concern.
Tessa’s always been someone who brushes things off and moves on quickly, so this is pretty in character for her.
Over with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), The Young and the Restless spoilers say she’ll do her best to help Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). After Nick explains the Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) takeover situation, Nick may hope for dirt he can use against Adam.
However, Phyllis lost her leverage since Abby and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) stole what was seemingly the last Vegas recording.
Phyllis will corner Chance and Abby at Society – perhaps with a pitch about using that recording to help Abby’s father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Of course, Abby and Chance already destroyed it if they’re smart. Why would they hang on to something that could hurt Chance, who helped with the cover-up?
Regardless, Chance will let Abby know he has no interest in any part of an Adam takedown plot. Adam saved Chance’s life, so he’ll make it clear that he won’t go after him.
Abby should respect Chance’s decision on that – at least for now. It’s possible Adam will become a bigger problem for these two later, but we’ll see how it all plays out.
