The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, October 13, tease that Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) will sit down for an intense conversation with Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz).
Paul respected Chance for his exemplary work and wanted him to join the force, but it’s tricky now that the Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) story is making waves.
An unnamed former federal agent was included in that article, so it didn’t take Paul long to figure out it was Chance. Since Chance admitted it, now it’s just a matter of whether Paul can get past Chance’s cover-up with Adam and trust Chance to do the job.
Chance will understand that he could be a liability, so he’ll brace for the possibility that Paul could rescind the offer.
Even so, Chance will hope to finally end this waiting game. He’ll push Paul to reveal whether he can come on board as a detective or not, so Paul will come back with the verdict. It seems likely that Chance will indeed score the job, but Paul may make it clear that it’s on a trial basis.
Paul and Chance will also have to get a few things straight when it comes to Adam and shady activities! Chance can’t be mixed up in any other sketchy drama if he expects to be part of the GCPD. Although Paul will continue to investigate Chance, it looks like the hiring process will move forward.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will want to talk things out with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan). Lily was thrown when she first found out that Amanda was Hilary Curtis Hamilton’s (Mishael Morgan) twin sister.
Lily didn’t have much to say since she still needed to work through some complicated feelings.
Now that Lily’s had an opportunity to come to grips with this twin news, she’ll talk to Amanda about Hilary and acknowledge that the situation’s difficult. Lily still battles guilt over causing the accident that killed Hilary, but she did her time in prison and moved on with her life.
Knowing Amanda never had a chance to meet her sister may intensify Lily’s feelings of remorse, but Amanda should understand that accidents happen. This wasn’t the outcome either of them wanted, so maybe that’ll help Amanda and Lily connect in some way.
Next, Y&R spoilers say Elena Dawson’s (Brytni Sarpy) own guilt will become a bigger problem. Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) can sense that something’s up, so he’ll text Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) to meet.
Once a nervous Nate arrives, Devon will bring up Elena’s tense behavior and suggest Nate might know what’s going on.
Nate will make it clear that even if Elena had told him something, he wouldn’t break her trust by telling Devon. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate will try to steer Devon’s mind in the direction of Amanda being the issue.
Afterward, Nate will offer updates to Elena at the clinic, so she’ll think the time has come to confess.
Of course, Elena has tried and failed to confess before, so it’s doubtful her plan will work out. That’s especially true if a baby bomb’s brewing as expected!
