The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, September 8, tease that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will make a big decision – one that could change Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) world forever. After giving this some serious thought, Devon will determine that Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) would want Amanda to seek the truth.
Once Devon gives Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) a box of items that belonged to Hilary, Nate will be able to gather a DNA sample off one of them. Amanda already passed along her sample to Nate, so he’ll make sure a DNA test gets underway ASAP.
Nate may pull some strings and get a rush on things since the waiting might be hard on Devon.
Of course, this is also a big deal for Amanda, who’s about to find out if she had a twin sister she never knew about. Y&R spoilers say Devon will drop his guard with Amanda soon, so he may open up about some of the added heartache Nate mentioned recently.
Amanda learned that not only did Devon lose Hilary, he also lost his unborn child with her and married Hilary on her deathbed. Devon may talk about his grief, which was made worse by the loss of Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John).
However, Devon will feel like Hilary would be all for Amanda solving the mystery. Hilary was never someone who backed down because she was scared, so this DNA test is something she’d approve of.
As for Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), she’ll continue to fret over what’ll happen if these results prove Amanda is Hilary’s twin. Will it strengthen Devon and Amanda’s growing bond?
That seems likely, but first thing’s first! Amanda has to receive the DNA test results she’s been waiting on – and she will soon enough. In the meantime, Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) will take a major risk.
He’ll be on the hunt for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), but he’ll end up having to put a lot on the line just to figure out where Adam is.
Nevertheless, Chance is an expert at stuff like this and will undoubtedly score Adam’s motel address before long. Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will anxiously await updates on Adam while Sharon waits for updates on something else.
Sharon will mention her upcoming doctor’s appointment to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and insist she doesn’t want him to go with her.
This is something Sharon has to face alone. Sharon’s about to find out if her cancer has returned, so she’ll want privacy in case she breaks down. Rey will have no choice but to relent, but he’ll find the pathology report at Sharon’s place later.
Since Sharon won’t be around, Rey will decide to take a peek at the results – and that’s when he’ll see the crushing blow Sharon’s faced.
Sharon’s surgery and treatment so far have been unsuccessful. Her breast cancer will be back and spreading from the sound of things. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon will eventually return and let her emotions pour out. It’ll be hard for Sharon to think about the possibility that she may not beat this.
Sharon will indeed recover down the road, but her situation will certainly look bleak in this moment. As other Y&R news rolls in, we’ll pass along more info.
