Laura and season one is back to share that she married last year but has since divorced. Now she lives in Ecuador with her dog. She wakes to fresh air and sunshine every day.
A month ago things became hard because of the coronavirus. She wanted to go back to Canada but couldn’t and now she is stuck. Now she is trying to keep herself busy, cooking. She walks her dog but curfew is 2 p.m.
She has since been talking to a man named Tony who is 25 and is in dental college. She loves talking to him. He gives her strength in this tough time.
She heads to the mall where she has to have her temperature taken. After she heads home and talks to a friend who used to live in Ecuador. She asks him what is going on because she doesn’t speak Spanish and can’t watch the news. He tells her how dangerous things are and how underprepared the hospitals are.
Laura learns there is one relief flight she can take but she doesn’t have the money. She finds out shortly that her hometown government will loan citizens money to they can fly home. She fills out an application and receives the money days later just in time to book the relief flight. She gets online and finds out all the flights are sold out. All she wants to do is go home.
Dean is stuck in the Philippines. He is not in quarantine alone. He has met a woman named Rigin. They were talking online and then he flew to meet her. He has since been there. They sit and eat breakfast. Rigin mentions her dad needs more money. Dean is irritated. He has already given him money.
Dean speaks with a friend from home by video. He discusses how his brother doesn’t approve of how he flew to meet his girl. After, he heads to the store with Rigin. The lines are crazy. They leave and talk about why she is mad. She tells him she feels bad. They make-up and kiss.
Anna and Murcel are married now. They met through social media. He has since moved to Nebraska. He has learned a lot more English. Since they have been stuck in the house due to the pandemic, things have been tough. Homeschooling and haircuts are a challenge.
Anna and Murcel head alone to tend to their bees. They don’t get much time alone. Murcel doesn’t want her to talk about their bedroom stuff. He gets embarrassed.
Avery is in self-quarantine by herself. Her husband Omar is in Syria. They have been talking by video and cannot wait for him to come to the U.S. The coronavirus is halting all of their efforts.
Avery heads to make lamb chops. She has been fasting for Ramadan. She talks with her biological father on the phone who has been in and out of prison. He cannot wait to get out. Omar calls. She connects them all in a three-way call. Omar speaks with her father for the first time. Avery is happy. After, she breaks her fast.
Brett and Daya celebrate her birthday with their daughter and a cake they made her. They are living through uncertain times because of coronavirus. Daya is working but he cannot because his job is shut down.
One thing they are doing is talking more about their day to day lives. Since he stays home with their daughter he has learned what a challenge it is.Brett cuts his hair and shows Daya. She doesn’t think his reverse mohawk is funny.
