The episode begins with Craig going to see Renn, she is asleep, he wakes her up and tells her that there has been some blowback from the last job. She asks if it is Smurf, he says yes. He tells her that Hope and Smurf were going to distract the guy while they stole his stuff but she held off and shot him in the head. He says Pope’s cousins have been called, they know they live in Oceanside.
Pope wants to give the money back, Craig wants to wait out but Joshua says that Smurf killed their father and they stole their gold, there is no waiting this out. Pope says if they keep the gold they have to kill them all and he is not doing that, they are his cousins, his blood. Craig reminds him that he just met them.
Young Smurf is in the car with the kids, she just got them to pickpocket a man in a convenience store and stole lots of snacks.
Craig is with Pope in the truck, he tells him that Smurf wanted them to have the gold. Pope just stares him down. The two are at Oceanside DropBox and are wondering why they are not opened when they should be. They go around back, find the door unlocked, go in guns aimed and ready, they find the clerk tied up. They untie the clerk, he says there were four of them and they were packing, he thought he was dead. They wanted mail out of the box and an address they had on file, an apartment registered under Smurf.
Joshua and Daran put the gold in a storage locker, Daran says he can’t believe they are doing this Smurf shit. Daran says that Smurf told him Adrian was talking to the cops and he is wondering if there is anything they need to do about it. Daran says he will handle it.
Young Smurf is at a motel with the kids, a boy is splashing her daughter and Andrew goes in after him, the mother and the father of the boy have to pull Andrew off of him and the mother says she is calling the cops on them.
Pope, Craig, Deran, and Joshua are at the apartment that Smurf owns. Meanwhile, their cousins are already inside and ransacking the place. They come up with an idea, pay a homeless person to pee on the back of their jeep to distract them. Inside, they find various passports and IDs that belong to Smurf. Then they find the jackpot, a safe and Dave goes to get some tools to open it up. The brothers distract the cousins at the front door and give them time to sneak into the apartment guns aimed and loaded. Pope tells them that they will give them the gold back, they leave town. And, Joshua tells them that he killed Smurf, she had cancer and she wanted to die. Pope says it was a job that went bad, they didn’t know Smurf was going to kill their father. They are both done and it is over. The cousins came for the gold, but Jeremy has a hard time letting the issue go.
The cousins get their gold and they leave, that’s it. The brothers go back into the apartment and take out a lasagne and eat together. They talk about what they can do with Smurf’s ashes. Joshua walks into the kitchen and gives them copies of Smurf’s will, Angela gave them to him, he tells them that they should read it. Pope is in the garage with Smurf’s ashes, he opens the safe and puts them inside.
Back to Young Smurf, she decides to leave with the kids, but first, she watched the other mother having fun in the pool. She asks Andrew for his shirt, she gets out of the car and asks the kids to stay in the car. She stuffs the shirt in the gas tank of the mother’s car, lights a fire, and drives away. As they are leaving, the car blows up.
Deran asks who Pamela Johnson is, she gets almost everything. Joshua says she is one of Smurf’s old pals. Just then the lights go out, then they hear a jeep drive up. Shots go off, it is Mike, Dave, and others, they have night vision. Pope gets one of them, but almost gets shot. Craig gets one, then Pope takes a bat to another one and they both fall in the pool. Pope ends up killing the guy. Deran was shot in the shoulder, everyone else is leaving and he is going to have to deal with the cops. The cops question Deran, and he has a story for every question. Deran pays off one of the cops who says this shit didn’t happen when Smurf was alive, he better tightens things up. Meanwhile, the brothers put the bodies in a truck, pour gasoline on them. Pope tells Craig to leave, he will meet him at the house. Pope is clearly not happy about killing his cousins, even though they came after them; it was all Jeremy’s idea. In the end, Pope buries the bodies, he gets Nick, who is still alive to help him, then he struggles with does he kill Nick or not, and in the end, he lets him go.
