Tonight Batwoman episode begins with school children getting their hands on liquid nitrogen and causing a bus to freeze. Gotham officials are linking the freezing agent to Mr. Victor Freeze, one of batman’s most notorious enemies.
Ryan meets with her birth mother, she tells her she is not there to blame her for anything, no judgement, she just wants her to know that it is all good, she turned out ok. Her mother tells her that she is not interested in having a relationship with her. Ryan says she paid two million dollars to pay a doctor to fake her name on her birth certificate, then made it look like she died so she wouldn’t come looking for her, she asks her who is she afraid of.
Her mother tells her that sometimes it is better to stop asking questions, and if she pursues this, she and Wayne Industries will come to severly regret that decision. Ryan tells her that she is not worth her time. Marquis walks in, he introduces himself, he is Jada’s son.
Later, Ryan is with Sophie and she is upset, Jada decided to keep Marcus and not her. Ryan joins Mary and Luke in the bat cave and Alice is there. Alice has a cough, Luke says they should give her a sick day. Luke says he knows where the canister is and he doubts it would be a good thing for Batwoman to break in with Gotham’s most wanted.
Luke tells Sophie that Dee Smitty broke into the evidence room, she works at the GCPD evidence desk. She called in sick today and she hasn’t called in sick in twenty years. Nora Fries was diagnosed with Mcgregor desease so Victor created a unique liquid nitrogen formula that would keep her in a chamber until a cure was found.
Her chamber ran out of the liquid nitrogen cocktail, a cure was found by modern medicine and it was administered in her, she was so disoriented by the twenty year time gap that officials put her at Arkham, she escaped three years ago and hasn’t been found yet. Dee Smitty is Nora Fries’ sister.
Marquis invites Ryan for a drink, she tells him that Jada made it clear that she wants nothing to do with her or Wayne Industries. He tells her that she is his sister and Jada didn’t have to tell him, he heard it from his nanny. He says he would ask her for a hug, but she looks like she could kick his ass. He asks her if she wants to join forces with her, she says she will think about it.
Batwoman heads to Dee’s place and it looks ransacked. Ryan sends he to Ace chemicals a company that makes cryochambers.
Mary examines Alice to see why she is feeling sick, her temperature is normal and her blood pressure, Mary tells her that she is faking being sick. Alice asks her if it is a cry for help, Alice says no, she knows they don’t work.
Dee and Nora were kidnapped and are in the Ace Chemicals building. Batwoman arrive and tries to save the two. Nora is freed, she doesn’t want to leave Dee but Batwoman assure her that she will find her and save her as well. The kidnappers fight batwoman and get her inside the chamber. The kidnappers force Dee to put the chamber on, she tells them that without the liquid nitrogen Batwoman will die, they threaten to kill Nora if she doesn’t.
Ryan is speaking to Batwoman, she tells him that she is trapped in the cryochamber, he tells her that her body temperature is dropping fast, she needs to stay awake. She tells him to save Dee, find her, they took her somewhere. She promised Nora she would protect her sister, she tells him not to let her die a liar.
Nora makes her way to Mary’s clinic, Alice sees her and demands that Alice get the nanobots out of her or she will kill Nora. Mary says she cannot do that, that is the only thing that is preventing her of escaping Gotham. Nora tells Mary to let Alice kill her, she doesn’t care. Alice asks Nora if she can be a worse hostage. Alice walks away in frustration. Meanwhile, Sophie is talking to Batwoman, she is trying to engage her in conversation because if she falls asleep she will die. Luke suits up and goes to save Batwoman.
Batwing and Batwoman go to save Dee, they arrive just in time, shots are fired, but they end up saving Dee and the kidnappers get away.
Alice got herself locked up again, she is roughly thrown in the cave and is in pain. She looks down at her arm and invisions bugs crawling under her skin and says out loud, what the heck is happening to her. In the bat cave, Ryan thanks Luke for having her back. Mary tells Luke that he is not supposed to wear the suit until he is ready. She is the team doctor and tells them that’s he knows what she is talking about.
Ryan says that she wouldn’t be there if Ryan didn’t help her. Ryan asks Luke if he is up for this, he says absolutely, Ryan tells Mary that she needs him by her side. Later, Sophie is having a coffee in a café where Ryan is, she tells her about her brother wanting to work with her. Ryan admits that she want a family, a mom, someone who will love her unconditionally. Sophie tells her that it is Jada’s loss.
Mary is in a park, she meets up with Nora and Dee, gives them some meds and tells them everything will be fine. Just when Mary is about to leave, some ivy wraps around her leg, knocks her down and drags her through some bushes.
