Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Belle Brady (Martha Madison) will test Jan Spears’ (Heather Lindell) coma status and try to figure out if her manipulative foe is faking it. Belle will naturally wonder about the possibility of Jan pretending she’s in a coma again – just so she can plot her next vengeful move!
It wouldn’t be the first time Jan put on a coma act. Although Jan genuinely fell back into a coma after John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) attack, she woke up far sooner than she let on.
Nobody viewed Jan as a threat, but she was busy running around town shooting Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) and framing Belle for it.
Jan then slipped back in her bed at the hospital and pretended to still be in a coma for weeks. Since Jan was able to pull it off before, Days spoilers say Belle will worry Jan could do it again.
Belle will test Jan for a couple reasons – the first being so she can protect her family and make sure Jan doesn’t pose a threat anymore.
Belle can’t take chances when it comes to the people she cares about. She’ll feel the need to take precautions here to make sure Jan doesn’t come after Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) again.
Belle also knows that no matter what Jan may claim, part of her will always be obsessed with Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer). Jan’s old desires could creep back in and override any sense of logic.
However, Belle will also want to test Jan since she’d prefer to see true justice served. It’s good that Jan will be neutralized through her coma, but Belle won’t want Jan getting away with her crimes if she’s faking it.
DOOL fans know Jan belongs in prison, so Belle won’t like the idea of a potential fake coma since Jan could use that as part of an escape. The last thing Belle wants is Jan on the run since it’d mean more fears for her family and would allow Jan to evade her punishment.
As for how Belle will test Jan, she’ll probably say things to her comatose body that are designed to rile her up. Belle can see if she’s able to provoke Jan into offering a response.
Of course, Belle will probably leave Jan’s hospital room satisfied, but it’d be fun if Days revealed Jan was indeed faking it after Belle left.
Regardless, Jan’s the kind of character who always seems to come back for more mischief. It’ll be interesting to see when and why Jan returns next! We’ll keep you in the loop as other Days news and updates emerge.
