Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) will have to reevaluate her life after she wakes up with memory loss. Thanks to Ciara’s latest ordeal and a head injury related to the blast in that glass cage, Ciara’s brain will revert back to 2018.
Being unable to remember her love story with Ben will be a game-changer – one that could force Ciara to do some soul-searching.
In a new interview with SOD, Victoria Konefal spoke about her latest stint on the show. She suggested it was great for the show to have the freedom to keep her on and off.
Since Konefal made the decision to go on recurring at Days, it’s an arrangement that works for her and gives her freedom to pursue other opportunities, too.
Since SOD referred to this as “brief stint” and got Konefal to confirm she’d be open to more short-term DOOL visits in the future, it certainly sounds like we’re gearing up for another stopping point in Ciara and Ben’s story.
Days may use this opportunity to put a pin in it and let Ben suffer alone for a while longer.
It was smart to go ahead and free Ciara from captivity since this gives Ben confirmation that Ciara’s alive. Ben doesn’t have to worry about saving Ciara anymore, so they can move on and tell some other stories.
This also potentially solves the problem of not having Kristian Alfonso back to play Hope Brady.
Hope has been focused on finding Ciara ever since her daughter was presumed dead. She couldn’t believe Ciara was really gone and has worked hard to find her, so it wouldn’t make sense for Hope to stay away – not by choice anyway.
Days of Our Lives could always let Hope go missing next, but why bother when they’ve got this amnesia storyline now?
The natural thing to do here is to have Ciara get in touch with Hope through Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer), who’s previously indicated that he’s been in contact. Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) was out of the loop on Hope’s whereabouts, but Shawn may know more.
Whatever the case, someone has to find Hope and tell her that Ciara’s indeed alive. Since Ciara will be distraught and confused over her memory loss, it’s easy to imagine her deciding to go off to wherever Hope is now.
They could have some mother-daughter bonding time off screen while Ben’s left heartbroken in Salem.
Ciara should get updates on how she fell for Ben, dated him and ultimately married him. Perhaps Ciara will find herself needing time to think – perhaps far away from Ben and without any pressure from the people in Salem.
Ciara might feel like some distance is best until she can figure out her next move – and Hope can be a source of support as she copes.
