Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, February 26, reveal that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) was startled to see Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) in Charlie Dale’s (Mike C. Manning) apartment.
Rafe pressed Sami about what she was doing there, but Sami would only say that Charlie got what he deserved. Rafe tried to get answers out of Sami, but she gave him nothing.
At the penthouse, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) pretended to be Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) as she talked with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) via phone. Soon, Kristen got a call from Susan at the prison. Susan was upset and wanted to end their identity switch, but Kristen ultimately persuaded her to keep going.
Soon, there was a knock on the door, and it was Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Claire Brady (Isabel Durant), who wanted Susan’s help getting vibes from the book they found among Allan Rhodes’ (Jason Downs) things.
Kristen acted weird, then pretended to try to get a vision, but she said that she couldn’t “see” anything. Ben and Claire left frustrated.
At Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant’s (Lamon Archey) apartment, Lani and Eli discussed the twins’ upcoming christening, and Lani said that she wasn’t ready to leave the twins alone yet. Eli urged her to try, since she was supposed to go to the prison to see Kristen today.
At the Hernandez house, Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) remembered telling Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) that perhaps she needed to take Charlie out. Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) stopped by wanting to talk about Charlie’s threat against him.
Ava told Tripp that Rafe went to a call about a gunshot at Charlie’s apartment. Soon, Eli arrived to say that Charlie was dead.
Eli wanted to know Ava and Tripp’s whereabouts last night. Ava said that she was at the house all night, and Tripp said that he was at Ava’s apartment with two police guards.
Ava assumed that Charlie committed suicide, and she told Tripp that she was glad that Charlie was dead.
At Statesville Prison, Susan (pretending to be Kristen) got a visit from Lani. Lani noticed that “Kristen” was acting strangely, but Susan managed to pull off being Kristen, noting that she just wasn’t herself these days.
Lani shared pictures of her twins, and Susan slipped and said she’d only be in prison for a month, but she managed to backtrack when Lani questioned her.
Susan then mentioned something about how her baby was in Italy, and Lani reacted with surprise, saying that Rachel Black was here in Salem.
Meanwhile, over at the Salem PD, Rafe attempted to talk to Sami in the interrogation room, but Sami would only say that Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) told her that Charlie wasn’t being charged for raping Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and that Charlie got what was coming to him.
Rafe urged Sami to talk with him and tell him what happened, but Sami clammed up and asked for a lawyer, ending the conversation. Sami then flashed back, remembering standing over Charlie while holding a gun, saying “You got just what you deserved.”
At the Brady house, Eli arrived and told Claire that Charlie had died of a gunshot wound.
Claire got all weird and flashed back to Allie saying last night that she could go get her grandma’s gun and that she’d get away with it this time. Eli asked Claire what was wrong, and Claire said that she was just in shock.
At Nicole’s apartment, Allie woke up late claiming to have not gotten much sleep last night. Allie shared with Nicole that she “had to do something” and that she put Charlie behind her for good.
“I will forget about him like he never existed,” Allie said. “As far as I’m concerned, he’s dead to me.”
Rafe then showed up to tell Nicole and Allie that Charlie was dead and that he was shot. “We have someone in custody,” Rafe said. “Allie, it’s your mom,” Rafe explained. Allie looked baffled.
