Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Friday, June 4 Recap – Jan in Coma – Xander Finds Gwen’s Drugs

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, June 4, reveals that Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) slipped into another coma while Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) used a scandal to help Chanel Dupree (Precious Way). Meanwhile, Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) found Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) drugs, so here’s what played out in Friday’s DOOL episode.

At the hospital, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) interrupted a tense conversation between Dr. Clay Snyder (Michael Lowry) and Gwen. Dr. Snyder wasn’t pleased and demanded to know how long Tripp had been standing there.

Tripp insisted he just walked in and needed Dr. Snyder’s help with an order for a patient. Dr. Snyder didn’t think it warranted the interruption, but he stepped aside briefly while Tripp checked on Gwen.

He pointed out their dads were brothers before Dr. Snyder sent Gwen on her way with more concealed drugs.

Afterward, Dr. Snyder pushed to find out if Tripp was spying on him. Tripp denied it and said he simply saw where Dr. Snyder was going and followed him.

Dr. Snyder warned Tripp not to do that and suggested he had the right to have a private word with a patient.

At the Horton house on Friday’s Days episode, Xander finished off a plate of doughnuts before Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) found out and blew her top. Julie was upset over Xander eating the whole dozen and explained that they were supposed to be for Doug Williams (Bill Hayes).

After chewing Xander out, Julie decided she’d make a new batch – but Xander would have to clean up. Julie taunted Xander about doing nothing but sitting around eating.

Julie suggested she was already seeing signs of a potbelly, so Xander was doing pushups when Gwen came home later.

Gwen wondered if Xander could do that somewhere else since she’d had a tough day and just wanted to watch the telly. “Excuse me! I don’t remember inviting you into my bed!” Xander exclaimed after Gwen sat on the sofa.

Gwen pointed out that she was a relative rather than a guest and felt confident Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) would side with her if they called him. Xander finally grabbed Gwen’s bag in an attempt to push her upstairs.

Gwen fought with Xander over the bag before Dr. Snyder’s envelope fell out. Xander didn’t buy that all those drugs were for Gwen and asked what she was doing with them.

At Nicole Brady’s (Arianne Zucker) place, Allie wrapped up a call with Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) and got a text from Chanel asking if she could come over. Allie flashed back to their kiss and looked pensive, but she texted back that Chanel could.

Once Chanel arrived, she brought Allie up to speed on her plans to open a bakery in the Horton Town Square. Chanel wanted to include the famous Horton doughnut recipe and needed Allie’s help to get it.

Chanel also wanted to give Allie a job there, but Allie wasn’t sure that was such a good idea.

Chanel worried this was because of the kiss and thought they were past all that. Allie claimed she just wasn’t sure she could convince Julie to give up the old family recipe.

However, Allie eventually decided Chanel shouldn’t give up on the idea and vowed to make a call.

A little later, Julie showed up and met Chanel before hearing her bakery pitch. Julie wasn’t keen on hearing about doughnuts after Jack’s slob of a houseguest ate them all. Chanel found out it was Xander and admitted she was married to him for a couple days.

Julie refused to give up the recipe since she didn’t want it tied to a scandal, but Allie swooped in and pointed out it was already tied to one.

Allie reminded Julie of the time JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) was in his bad boy phase and mixed up the book club’s batch of doughnuts with the weed ones he made for his pothead friends.

Julie finally relented on giving up the recipe and suggested maybe it’d be nice to make those doughnuts available to the people of Salem. Once Julie left, Chanel was impressed over the way Allie stood up for her.

Allie was excited to help Chanel make Sweet Bits a success and embraced her as they squealed. When they pulled back, Allie and Chanel stared at each other in an intensely warm moment.

At home, Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) filled Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) in on Chanel’s bakery idea. They were hopeful about Chanel getting an income and moving out soon.

Lani admitted she was possessive and jealous, so she didn’t like Chanel talking about how hot Eli was. Eli thought he’d feel the same way if a young man saw Lani naked or was talking about her in that way.

When Eli suggested they were doing too much talking, Lani agreed and made love to him on the couch. Meanwhile, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) got shot in the arm before Jan stood over her with the gun.

Jan planned to finish Chloe off, but Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) threw dirt in Jan’s face and struggled with her until she was knocked unconscious.

Once Philip called for an ambulance, he got Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) on the phone and explained what had gone down. Shawn offered updates to Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) before they both headed to the hospital.

Once Shawn arrived, he found Tripp and admitted to him that Jan was the one who killed Charlie Dale (Mike Manning).

In Chloe’s room, Philip reassured Chloe that she’d be OK before Brady rushed in. That sent Philip flying into a rage since he blamed Brady for putting Chloe in this situation. Philip felt like none of this would’ve happened if Brady hadn’t been duped by Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).

Shawn interrupted to take Chloe and Philip’s statements, but Brady had a chance to speak with Chloe afterward. He was so sorry for everything Chloe had been through and felt Philip was right about what he said before.

Nevertheless, Brady insisted Kristen had gotten the message that they were truly done. He vowed to keep Kristen away and never let Chloe down ever again.

Back with Shawn on Friday’s Days episode, he found Dr Snyder and said he needed to see Jan. Shawn wanted Jan closely watched until she was well enough to be transferred to a jail cell. Dr. Snyder didn’t see that happening and revealed that Jan had slipped into another coma.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Jan could still come out of that coma down the road, but she’s no longer a threat for now. CDL will have tons of other great Days of Our Lives spoilers, updates and news to read up on, so stop by often for more DOOL drama.
